Works better than original. Can tell there's some improvements in design. I think Bissell knew the vaccuums released with the original gray roller had some manufacturer defects and/or assembly issues. When I took mine out there were signs of manufacturer defects and incorrect assembly. They should have made a recall.Bissell customer service has gotten worse also. I told them the roller is making noise and it snapped the belt. They wanted me to take the vaccuum to a far-away Orec dealer to determine the issue and wait 4 weeks for a replacement.I could tell it was the roller that was the problem. Previously they just sent me a new roller, not this time. Second Bissel with roller issues, smh. Don't think I'll buy another Bissell. Or else I guess take it apart and inspect the roller and roller installation. Spend the extra money and maybe not get the hassles?Either way this roller on Amazon works great so far. Whisper quiet, flawless fit.

Old brush wore out/melted down a bit.. we almost bought a brand new vacuum.. but gave this a try and SO happy we did.. SUPER easy to install🔧. Fits perfectly per amazons recommendations 👌🏽, and works BEAUTIFULLY 😍, maybe even better than the original! We saved a lot of money, two day shipping, and fresh vacuum lines 🤤. Highly Recommend!

I tried with Bissell without success to find this brush replacement. The one I found in Amazon is an excellent replace, fits great, and the installation was a breeze. I save $$$ doing it myself and not sending my vacuum to Bissell service.

I've purchased this before a few years ago too. It moves smoothly, so my vacuum is working again.

I purchased this after my vacuum brush stopped working. Looking at the right product numbers I was able to see this was the right one for my vacuum. It came in time, and it works perfectly. It was easy to install and I even like it more because of the colors. I've only had it a month but I hope it'll last a long time because it saved me from purchasing a new vacuum.

It fit perfectly and my vacuum is back to working like new. FYI, there is a small spacer that sits right under the height adjustment knob so use caution when removing the lower cover to access the brush. I didn't catch it and it took me a while to figure out how it should sit under the knob.

Replaced the worn out 13.5" brush roll on an older 12 amp Bissel Powerforce 35221 to upgrade it into a pet vac for pennies. This one has three sets of brush elements twisting along the length instead of two for 50% increase in brush action per revolution. It also lifts up the nap of our older carpeting like it never did before. I also eliminated the accessory hose by shortening it and connecting it directly to the vacuum head for increased suction. Our old worn out vacuum is now the best carpet vac ever. Don't need the accessory hose since we have one of those expensive battery powered vacs. Revived my old vac like this because the expensive battery vac didn't do as well as advertized on carpeted floors.
