Very good
Brought for a cruise, work really well, looking forward to using them to search for sea life.

High power monocular
A compact high powered monocular which gives clear sharp images. It comes with the tripod which is okay but not fabulous but it has a standard screw which fits into other tripods. It fits into the large pockets on my coat but wouldn't fit into a trouser pocket. Great on outdoor walks.

Pointless
I got this to look at stars as advertised. I just wanted to see the planets as they were aligning. This seemed to magnify absolutely nothing and I found it easier and clearer with the naked eye. More money wasted.

Not as powerful as it says
Positives: it's very compact and comfortable to use, feels well built and the phone accessories are easy to use.Negatives: Nowhere near 40x magnification closer to 8x (I have a vintage set of Zenith binoculars that I use as a benchmark), The tripod and phone adapter are "OK quality" for the price, the legs on the tripod can be extended to one additional length.Overall can't really complain because you get what you pay for.
