A nice chain for a decent price.
Modern bikes that still use chains mostly have sealed o ring or x ring chains to keep in the lubricant in the critical joints. These joints extend the life of the chain but the catches are the higher cost of the sealed chain, and the fact that the seals actually rob a little bit of power as the chain rotates. Mega bike powerhouses that are seriously drag raced often have the seals removed in the interests of minimizing the drag on the chain. For this reason bikes of modest power often have unsealed chains that do NOT have the seals. This is one such unsealed chain. So far so good and the fit and quietness of the chain so far is good. The original lasted almost 12,000 miles before stretch and wear rendered it worn out. . Remember to lube every tank or two of gas and keep your chain adjusted well. It helps to make a mark or two on the chain so you can lube completely and can actually TELL when you've made on revolution of the chain. So far I can feel a little more pep, and a lot more smoothness with the new chain. Time will tell if this is a quality chain, and I will update if this fails prematurely. Keep the rubber side down and ride on.
