Get it. This thing is great.
This product is actually the “Pro300” diffuser made by a Chinese company called “Crearoma Tech Limited.” They seem to specialize in designing and manufacturing nebulizing diffusers exclusively.A lot of companies will sell these diffusers under a different name (as is the case here) because Crearoma doesn't put their name anywhere on the device, in the packaging, or even in the app. It looks like they really only concern themselves with design and manufacturing, and they leave the marketing and distribution to others. Which is fine! …but it also means there are many places to buy this device online for less than what you might pay here. After a few days with it, I have to say this diffuser is kind of awesome. The instruction sheet that comes with it is definitely not awesome. So here's what I've learned. There are three ways to control this diffuser:- From the front panel- From the mobile app- From a websiteThe front panel controls are fairly straightforward, but it's far easier to program this device via the app or website. Note: You don't ever need to connect this device to your network if you don't want to. It can be controlled entirely from the front panel buttons. The app is called “Aroma-Link”. There's another app from the same company called “Smart-aroma” but that's not the right one to use.Once you've created your account within the Aroma-Link app, you can visit “aroma dash link dot com” and log in there. (Amazon doesn't allow external links) That page will let you program and control the diffuser remotely from a browser.Setting the schedule within the app is tricky. You first need to tap the “Set” button, then tap to enable each of the days of the week that you want to set, then tap the pencil icon to edit one of the 5 available programs and toggle each one on or off. Finally you have to tap “Save” and your machine is programmed. The default diffusion time is to run for 10 seconds, then pause for 110. In my home, this was just too aggressive and caused the scent to be entirely too strong. I pared it down to run 5 seconds, then pause for 180 and that seems to be a happy balance. This has the added benefit of using far less fragrance oil. There is a button marked “Fan” in the app to toggle a booster fan that only runs when the diffuser is running. I think its purpose is to disperse fragrance a little more forcefully into the room, but I haven't been able to notice a difference. In fact having the fan on makes the device just a little bit louder. For best performance, you may need to upgrade the firmware. To do this, visit the Aroma-Link website, click the “Device List” on the left navbar, then click the teal pencil icon next to your device. Scroll down to “Firmware Version” and select the latest version from the dropdown list. My device arrived with version 1.0, and as of this writing the latest is 1.2.What this device does not do is measure and report the amount of fragrance remaining in the bottle. I've been scenting my house at 5/180 for a week and have pulled the bottle out periodically to check how much liquid is left, and honestly it looks like it's at the exact same level as when I first filled it up.Hold down the Back and > buttons to factory reset the device. This will set the PIN to 1234.Tap the ^ and > buttons simultaneously to manually set the time. (If you use the app, the time will be set automatically.)Hold down the Back button to toggle the fan on or off.Hold down the Enter button to turn the device on or off.If the machine beeps 5 times for seemingly no reason at all, that means it has lost its wifi connection OR it still has a wifi connection but the main server in China went down. This happens a lot- a few times a month. It will beep one time when it reconnects or the server becomes available again. To avoid these beeps you can just use Bluetooth and never connect it to your WiFi.There doesn't seem to be a public API for this diffuser, meaning it can't (yet) be used with Home Assistant. Maybe some day!So far, so good, one week in. Hopefully this device will last a few years.

Easy HVAC scent!
I am a big fan of the concept of HVAC scent. It makes so much sense and is far superior to having plug-ins in every room that only last a month. This was easy to set up. We used the advice of another review and attached it to the vent with plumber's putty. I wish it came with another component to screw it into the vent too, but this works well. That is our recommendation for installation. Our attachment could be prettier - it's in the wall so it doesn't matter all that much.NOTE: This does not come with sample scents. You should buy them with the machine to test it out.As of the posting of this review, we have had it for a week. There are so many scent oils to choose from. Currently, we have orange blossom and you can always tell when the AC and the machine kick on at the same time. There is a blast of new scent. I am nose blind to it already during regular operation (as it always goes ☹), but after installing it the entire house smelled like the chosen scent when I walked in the door. The app was easy to install. I don't like that it asks for location every time that you connect. The UI leaves much to be desired, but it works. YOU MUST SELECT EVERY DAY that you want to schedule or it will appear that the time schedule has reverted and your selections were not saved. That seems to be an issue in many other reviews. To check, select those days again. Selected days are the ones with the white fill. That is not straightforward. Once that was figured out, adding an automated schedule was super simple and it worked well. The schedules are very customizable to your preferences. If you need specifics for different days, you can have up to 5. The run time and pause time are customizable for each schedule.Update: this works with pure scent oil for a few weeks before gets clogged and needs to be cleaned with alcohol to start working again. You can dilute scent oil with 90-99% isopropyl to prevent this. 70% will not work! This is still decent for the price point so I’m not updating the stars.
