Vet's BestFlea & Tick Spray - Plant-Based Flea and Tick Prevention for Dogs - Certified Natural Oils - 8 oz

I've been using Wondercide with only moderate success with the mosquitoes and flies here in San Diego. This is not only more cost-effective but lingers for hours post-application. If your dog licks I'm not sure if I would reccomend it, but for safe measure, spray this product only on their back and shoulders and away from the mucus membranes.

I’ve been using this product on my pup for a while now and I’m not sure how good it works. She isn’t itching as much and seems to have less fleas so it does work just not as fast. It has a strong smell but it goes away after a few minutes, it’s safe for pups.

My dog is on the flea/tick/heartworm/etc pill. But that does not repel ticks until after they bite. I was still picking off about 2 ticks a day from the top of her fur. This lead to ticks is missed leaving the dog in bed and getting on my wife and I. She found this unacceptable. So I needed something to repel ticks before they bite (more quickly). This did the trick. Greatly reduces the number of ticks I find on top of her fur, and eliminated the ones on the Skin. And no more bed ticks!I apply after her monthly bath. I just spray my hands and run her hair through my fingers making her hair moist. That seems to work through the next bath.My only complaint (and the reason for the 4 stars) is the sprayer does not work well. (This is for the 8 oz size with the push down pump.) After a few pumps it stays down and won't pump any more. This only lasts several seconds, but it is frustrating to fight the sprayer while wrestling the dog. Have been using for about a year and our bottle is still half full. Decided to buy the bigger bottle with the trigger sprayer to see if that works better even though we had lots left.So other than the sprayer I like this product. It minimizes the time ticks will stay on the dog and seems to prevent them moving from the hair surface to the skin surface.

I have very mixed views on this. I have a short-haired dachshund and a long-haired, coarse-coated Aussie and a very large yard that's difficult to treat. The Aussie has sensitive skin and I am in general very skeptical of using chemical flea treatments on my dogs, so I picked this up as a budget-friendly alternative to harsh chemical treatments. I don't regret buying this spray, but it's not a miracle, by any means.I bathed and soaked both dogs on Day 1 and pulled every visible flea off of them. Then after they dried, I sprayed them with this product before they ever went outside. I repeated the spray every time they came in and went out (based on advice from other reviewers), checking them constantly for bugs. We made it to Day 3 without finding a single flea on either dog, but the dachshund came in with four fleas. I have witnessed that this spray, when applied directly and used plentifully, DOES kill fleas on contact. It does take a few seconds in the solution, but it does work.You have to be very thorough and consistent in applying this spray for it to be effective. The smell is pleasant enough and the oils wash off human skin easily enough that I didn't bother putting gloves on to rub it in to the dogs.It was harder to fully saturate the Aussie with the spray since she would flinch away (she's not fond of sprays, moisture, or the smell, I think, there's no signs that it irritated her in any way) and it takes a dozen sprays to even begin to moisten her thick fur. This spray does lather a bit as you rub it in, which makes the whole process easier.Have noticed that using this spray really helps to condition my long-haired dog's fur, leaving it soft and more manageable than usual, so that's a plus!

Este producto es maravilloso , muy bueno fácil de ponerle , le mato instantáneamente las pulgueras a mis perritos , yo vi como se murieron en la barriga de mi perrito color de oro, a mi perrito negro no se las vi , pero desde ke se lo puse ayer no se ha rascado , si se Ke tenía pulgas y se le murieron ygual,pues desde ke se lo puse no se ha rascado mas, me encanta te olor , deberían de ponerle un poco más de olor para ke los perritos Keden limpios a la misma vez, también el roceador no es muy bueno pues no hechava el producto fácilmente ,pero eso no es nada yo le puse otra cabeza de spray; le explicó cómo usarlo para ke trabaje efectivamente, primero le ponen un leash para ke puedas hacer Ke se kede ahi contigo, y no se esconda a lamerse el producto , así lo dominas con el leash, ok primero tienes ke ir habriendole los pelos a cada milímetro de su piel , haces como ke le estás dando masajes en todo el cuerpo pero no se lo puedes poner en los pelos solamente pues así no te va a trabajar, tienes ke ponerle suficiente en la piel y lo masajeas en cada espacio, se tiene ke hacer como espuma, el otro tiene ke estar mojado como si lo estuvieras bañando , pero no lo vas a bañar con agua sino con este fabuloso producto, si el perrito es color claro verás como se le van muriendo en tus ojos lo puedes ver si localisas las pulgas hechale y sóbale el producto abundantemente arriba de la pulga , veras como se muere antes de los 5 segundos, no escatimes la cantidad del producto , pues cada área tiene ke estar mojada completo, después tienes ke estar cerca del perro para ke no se lama , ni se raspe hasta ke no se le seke el producto no lo puedes soltar , a mis perros le encanta , pues piensan ke lo estoy acariciando, y se relajan mucho mediante la aplicación del producto , algo tiene este producto Ke lis pone muy relajado y trankila, acuerdate tien Ke ponerle hasta entre los dedos , patas, orejas , cuidado con los ojos , la boca, y sus geniales, después Ke esté mojado completamente , tienes ke esperar Ke se seke completamente , sin dejar Ke se aleje de ti hasta ke seke completo…..si lo haces así verás Ke eficaz es este producto
