Thank you for reaching out to us.

The Sky Hook device does not interfere with the drone’s sensors.

All sensors will operate properly, including of course the landing sensors.

We recommend using the Drop Cord that is included in the kit when carrying the payload.
Not using the Drop Cord and carrying a payload close to the drone body, may result in the payload being detected by the drone down sensors.

Will my fishing line get tangled in the propellers?

When you use the included Braided Drop Cord which is about 6 feet long, the payload is hanged below the drone away from the propellers.

What is the heaviest lure/bait rig this can handle?

Hi, The max weight lifting capability of the drone is determined by the drone’s propellers thrust and thrust-to-weight ratio that is kept to the maximum since the Drone Sky Hook Release & Drop device weighs only 1.8 oz (50 grams). While the Mavic AIR 2 drone can momentarily lift over 26 oz (750 grams), for safety reasons the maximum payload should be less than 14 oz (400 grams) under ideal conditions and recommended not to exceed 12.5 oz (350 grams). There are many factors that determine the maximum payload the drone can carry.  Always account for wind conditions, flying distance, altitude, temperature, payload drag, bait weight, fishing line length and weight, and other factors. How does the Fn button release the payload if you don’t use the auxiliary light to trigger the release?

Hi and thank you for contacting us.

Firstly, verify Fn button Tap option is set to Auxiliary LED.

To drop the payload click Fn button three times while maintaining about 0.5-1 second between each click. Wait for the Drop Hook to rotate and drop the payload.
To set the Drop Hook back to its previous position (Hold position), click Fn button again three times while maintaining about 0.5-1 second between each click.

If you wish to set the Fn button for a different use than Auxiliary LED, you can trigger the Sky Hook to drop the payload by using the Drone Rotation feature:

Quickly Rotate (YAW) the drone two full LEFT turns (counterclockwise) to trigger the Drop Hook and drop the payload.

To set the Drop Hook back to its previous position (Hold position), Quickly Rotate (YAW) the drone again two full LEFT turns (counterclockwise).
