Simple, excellent function. Well made.
This is an excellent stand for a round-bottomed hemisphere mixing bowl. You can position the bowl in varying degrees of tilt as you mix. What it is also great for when not in use is separating pots / pans or other items you don't want to stack directly on top of each other when in cabinet storage. I use it separate two Mauviel Elite gratin pans. Metal does not scratch metal but is still a space saver.Finally, it does not have that greasy feeling that silicone can get. It is smooth and dry and does not attract debris. Withstands hot bowls easily.

Useless!
This is not a soft, silicone like stand that holds a bowl in place. Hard-plastic ring that slides on a smooth surface as well as has the bowl slide inside the ring. Such ring stands are used to hold a mixing bowl in place if you whip something up and need a free hand. Completely useless.
