Great lantern. A bit heavy, but fine for the home or car. I would likely not hike with it. Huge number of options for operation but basic mode is enough. Run time is amazing and it can stand in as a battery bank. This is my third one of these and all are working great. This is one of the few items that make you feel that delivered far more that you paid for. I will consider this manufacturer for other items. BLF was a great resource for information on advanced operation.

Great light! Lantern with multiple levels of low to bright lighting. However, its use as a flashlight is limited. It doesn't direct the light through the top end of the lantern to make it effective as a functioning flashlight. More of a lantern.

I bought this after we had a few power outages and our existing lanterns weren't bright enough to light up a room for my wife, my child and myself. This thing is definitely bright enough to light up a room, I usually only use it at the lowest 3 brightness levels. I can't speak towards overall battery life as we haven't used it a ton and have yet to run it out of battery while it sits in standby mode. The only downside is that instead of 18650 batteries it takes the larger 21700, which depending on what you already have might mean buying new extra batteries at the best, to also having to by a new charger if you don't want to charge through the lantern. That being said, it comes with batteries, and you can charge it through the built in port. So as long as you aren't pressed for time you can definitely get by without additional purchases.

I found this lantern on a subreddit about flashlights, that should tell you something about the audience this baby was made for, first of all yeah it’s expensive but it has a great build quality and it has some advanced features that a lot of regular lanterns don’t such as changing the color temperature from anywhere really warm to normal and all the way to a very cool colored light, and also you can set it very dim or bright or anywhere in between. Those two things make this lamp better than any other lamp i’ve ever had and- this is crazy and I don’t expect you to do this but- I even use this not only for camping but for literally my bedside lamp for night time so that I can have a little light to do things and not disturb my Wife. There are female threads on the bottom so you can attach a small tripod to lift it off the tabletop a bit. The battery on the lowest setting lasts a super long time, I forget how long but I think there’s a chart for that somewhere. The brightest setting isn’t very bright and drains the battery pretty fast but, that’s physics.
