Q: Is there a way to get the 80 hz sample rate that the hx711 should provide (according to the datasheet) if the rate pin is set to high?

You need cut the PIN 14 of the chip to get 80 HZ

Q: I just bought these for a project. What two opposing points get pressure applied to measure strain? I suspect it needs the rivets to be clear?
