Best served chilled....with gin!
This is a multi-product page and therefore the reviews here will be for different products. This review is for the taster packThis is a good way of trying the range of seltzers and deciding which flavour pleases you most. As a straight drink they are OK with only a slight hint of flavour, which is a good thing as you may not want an overpowering taste of cucumber. There are 2 samples of each – cucumber, cherry blossom and original.I tried 1 of each, chilled and on ice. All were refreshing and enjoyable with the cherry blossom being my favourite, but cucumber not so much. However, when mixed with plain gin, they all added an interesting twist to the drink and made them just a little more exciting than straight tonic.I have no idea if the health benefits are true, theoretical or just plain marketing bumf , but they were a nice change for a mixer and even the cucumber one with gin was very refreshing. They need to be chilled and with ice to get the best refreshment value. The only off-put to these is the current price of £2 per can. Other than that I can’t really fault them. If you are interested in trying these, then go for the taster pack first and decide on which flavour you prefer before committing to a box full – or not as they may not appeal to every taste bud.

Wonderfully different experience!
There is no doubt that this will be a new thing to most people. Yuzu is a Japanese citrus fruit that is said to be something of a cross between a mandarin orange and lemon. The taster box gives you two cans of three different flavours; one is the original Yuzu, the others add Cherry Blossom and Cucumber. It's vegan friendly, sugar free and unsweetened too.The taste will be a matter of personal preference. I did enjoy the original but perhaps enjoyed the Cherry Blossom one even more. I wasn't as keen on the Cucumber one but by the same token I probably enjoyed that one more than I thought I would to be fair.I think it's essential to have these drinks chilled and all were drinkable in their own right. As the blurb states that they can be used as an alternative to soda water I did try some with a little gin/vodka and found that was very refreshing too. Perhaps not what I would use as an "everyday" mixer (not that I drink everyday I might add) but as an occasional treat they would go down very well.If you're a little adventurous and like citrus I think these would be wonderful to try.

revolting
The media could not be loaded. In this box you get 6 can's (2 of each flavour) of what can only be described as fizzy water.the original is bitter and tasteless, the cherry blossom smell nice but tastes like fizzy water with a hint of cherry and the cucumber was, you guessed it, fizzy water with a hint of cucumber. I suppose you may like it if you like soda water, but it's not for me.

Crisp, clean taster set
An excellent taster box of semi-premium UK made soft-drinks.Yuzu is not the most common flavour profile in Europe, especially in its natural rather than artificial or modified form, so it is good to see it take greater prominence here, especially since like many citrus fruits, it is rich in vitamins and flavanoids. With an interesting scent and taste character that seems to straddle the boundary between mandarin, grapefruit and bergamot, it forms the basis of the lightly carbonated drinks on offer here. The box itself contains six cans, two each of natural Yuzu, and yuzu with the intriguing cherry blossom, and cucumber. The first and last are to me the most successful: crisp, refreshing citrus with sufficient acidity but without falling over into the excessively 'acidic' category. The yuzu as noted has a distinct profile, which works well when combined with the cucumber -to my palate, the cherry blossom was, though carefully crafted, a little too biased into the 'floral' profile which may limit its audience slightly as these tend to be more challenging than those with more focus on the fruit aspects. Nevertheless, as an example of the type, it is excellent. These are also vegan-friendly products, without added sugar or stevia, and at just 4 calories per can, are guilt-free in that sense.Packaging is straightforward: conventional generic cans with an outer branded wrap, which is certainly subtle enough and matches the product well. There is little to critique there. Pricing is relatively high, but these are intended to be a premium product, made in relatively low volumes in the UK, and the quality certainly matches the intention. Well worth trying if you want a premium, low-calorie drink.

A different style of seltzer, well worth trying
This is a taster pack of 6 330ml cans – 2 each of Yuzu original, Yuzu with cucumber and Yuzu with cherry blossom. Yuzu is a citrus fruit that looks a little like a grapefruit and tastes like a cross between all the citrus fruits you can think of! Each can is 4% yuzu and are not sweetened, so these are on the sour side. I admit at first taste I wasn’t convinced, but they have grown on me.They are lightly sparkling and are very refreshing when drunk on their own, well chilled. The cucumber version is in my view a little too much cucumber, the cherry blossom one I couldn’t really pick out any particular flavour and the yuzu alone leaves you wondering which citrus fruit it reminds you of the most! They work quite well as a mixer with gin – maybe with other spirits too, but I haven’t tried. At £12.75 for 6 they are reasonably priced and 4 calories per can is great but it’s worth trying the mixed case first to test the different flavours – unless you know you don’t like cucumber!
