This is a finger yo-yo, and some say it's "the" yo-yo to use when you're an absolute beginner. You can upgrade the bearings when you become good enough for advanced tricks. You could. And maybe that's true for some. But it's all about personal preference. I personally don't like the light weight and feel of this yo-yo.
