Variety Puzzle Book For Adults: 90+ Large-Print Puzzles Word Search, Sudoku, Word Scramble, Number Search, Trivia, Mazes

I've had this book for 2 months now and I'm still enjoying it. There is a variety of puzzles to keep you from getting bored with the same activity. The activities are Word Search, Sudoku, Number Search, Trivia, Word Scramble, and Mazes. I find the mazes to be extra fun. It helps that the print is extra large so you don't have to strain your eyes. I bought this book to work on the plane while traveling and it was perfect. If fit in my backpack and not too big to take up too much space. The activity level varies throughout the book.

I love the large print the amount of puzzles and lots of pages for reasonable price.

This was a gift but greatly enjoyed. I was told that it offered alot of variety in regards to the style of games and the levels of challenge. Great little activity book.

Size of a book, help to keep busy when work is slow.

The variety!

There are some aspects to this book that simply have me baffled. These items first just baffled me and had me questioning the creator, but as I continued to go through the book the oddities started to accumulate and annoy me no end and eventually ruined this book for me.The book starts with word searches and I was very excited to see the word lists...uncommon, longer words that adult puzzle lovers would appreciate (photo). But as I started to work the first puzzle I realized about halfway through that none of the answers were in a back slash angle (/)....all answers were up/down, back/forth, or forward slash (\). I thought it just odd and a fluke till I worked a second puzzle....and guess what? Why the creator doesn't hide any words in that fourth direction is just odd to me. It also teaches you not to even bother looking for words in that angle.(Spoiler Alert) In the word scrambles I noticed other bigger oddities that started to bug me. One of the scrambles is titled "valeria." I had never heard that word and had to google it. Turns out it's a girls name. So I thought the rest of the words would be girls names. They were, but not any names I'm familiar with...Aaliyah, Aylin and Nayeli are three of them. Huh??? RUKM?? I challenge anyone of the age needing a large print puzzle book to know those names! (and another of the puzzles is boys names like Kasen and Zayne!)The next puzzle was equally baffling. It's title was "Oklahoma." I found Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and Texas. I couldn't get the rest. I mentally went through every state, visualizing a map, and still couldn't get it. Completely baffled, I gave up and looked at the answers...agriculture, choctaw and thunderstorms. Huh??? Five states and then thunderstorms?? Baffled.By the time I encountered the word scramble "porcupine" I knew the chances of this list of words having anything to do with porcupines, sharp things or quills was slim to none and I was right...cat, llama and red panda were some of the answers. I don't get it, is it just me??The sudoko's are all rated "medium," no easy or hard ones.The mazes have no answers. Rest of puzzles do.I could go on but hoping you get what I'm saying. I just don't understand the puzzle creator. At first I thought these things were odd, then I was baffled, then they really started to bug me, and eventually they turned me off the whole book.

This was for my husband who was in hospital. In the end he did not use it but the print is large and the puzzles are not overly taxing.

Most of the activities are fun and challenging, however, the word scramble section is odd becausethe headings don't always correlate with the words that need to be unscrambled e.g. the heading is OUR HOUSE and some of the clue words are OBLIGATION, MITTEN, HORIZON, CUSTOMER.

I bought this book for my elderly mother to help her keep her brain active. She really likes it and uses it daily.
