Kitty Cat Litter Mat Extra Large (XL) Automatically Collects Granules From Paws for Scoopable , Dustless And All Other Cat Litters

I've been meaning to get one of these for a while, but the ones in stores are so expensive for a tiny (like 1x1) square... my cats would step OVER that on their way out. I needed something longer, and was happy to find this.It does the job, although being a bit narrow, I needed to arrange some obstacles to keep the cats on it while they exited the box. Actually put it at the end of a long closet, and they can't avoid it now! A small fraction of the cat litter makes it to the hardwood - meaning I can go a day or two between sweeping/vacuuming.I was wondering, with the fiberous look of the rubber, how it'd fare with liquids. I didn't have to wonder long, as one of my cats upchucked the largest, foulest-smelling hairball imaginable on day 3. After thanking them both profusely, I drug it to the driveway to be hosed off - no trouble there. It's drip drying now and will be back in place shortly.I may get another to put next to it - again, it's narrow - but so much better than others on the market.

I quite like the length of this. It does exactly what it says it does; contains the mass amount of litter that my two chunky kitties spread across the room like a plague as they insist on bolting out of the litter box after dropping a 2lb deuce in about 37 seconds. As though they suddenly feel a exhilarating sensation of lightness so profound they jump out of the litter box and try to soar away into a land of endless overflowing bowls of food with a trail of litter in their wake. Excellent price for the size too!

The size is a bit baffling... it's the width of my standard litter box, and ridiculously long. I'd like a couple extra inches on either side of the box because my cat really doesn't walk straight out of her box. she goes off to one side or the other, taking sand off the mat with her. When she does walk on the mat it does trap sand pretty effectively. The mat is also easy to vacuum or sweep up. However, I can see it snagging already where her claws have caught on occasion, and I've only had the mat a couple of weeks.

This mat is generously sized to give your cat a good-sized "landing strip" to shake the litter off his paws. Many products of this type are way too small to be really useful. You'll be amazed how much litter will end up trapped in here. The price is fantastic compared to the price of similar (even much smaller) mats in the pet stores. Of course there will still be some litter getting beyond the mat - but it'll be a lot less than before

The more I am deal with this, the more I think it is very incorrect to call this "XL". They now sell a "Jumbo" one, that I bought, as this one is too small in width, and thus moves around too much. Originally, I gave more stars, but the misnomer of XL is so misleading. That being said, this seems to do its job well of collecting litter from paws as they leave their box. . I like the dark blue color.

The material this is made of is the absolute BEST for catching cat litter on your cat's feet before they track it all over the house. I use walnut hull litter, so I can't account for clay. I took off 1 star because I could have used a square one.

I have a large cat that has a larger litter box, this was just the right size. I am happy with that. My cat still manage to track even with this mat (he has large paws). I can see a lot of litter on the mat itself, so I think it might be time for me to change litter!! .

Does a nice job....most of the litter stays on the mat. Fit nicely as I didn't have a lot of space.
