Love the smell of this candle. We love to sit around camp fires and this candle takes you there.This is my 2 purchase of this candle.

The first evening I sat down to light this beautifully simple candle was a cold fall night. I had just arrived to my tranquil residence after a long 3 hour shift at work. I was dog tired for my grueling day and found solace in the tiny warm glow of the flame. As the aroma of the campfire infused candle filled my room I was immediately transported. I was mentally sent back to a time when goblins and orcs roamed to lands. I felt like our forefathers (George Washington, Abe Lincoln and Frodo Baggins) sitting around a warm fire resting my eyes as I dozed off into a peaceful slumber. As I awoke I had realized the candle had caught fire to my curtains the hang in front of my beautiful bay window. I quickly rose to the task of snuffing out the fire and returning my home to the safe state I found it in. After the commotion had settled I realized the lovely smell of the candle was still in the room. As I sat back down to enjoy the sent of adventure and wonder this candle provides I rested and found peace knowing that a new adventure is right around the corner.

I bought this candle "Fireside" specifically because I wanted to smell a fireplace scent during Christmas. The white candle is set in an all black thick plastic (?) container with a wood wick and black screw top lid. The company label on the outside is a sticker. It is very simple and masculine looking. Unfortunately, because the container is solid black, you can't see the flame glowing inside or lighting up the container, like in most clear glass candles. You miss the ambiance and feel of a beautiful burning candle. It's just a small black jar sitting on your table. The candle is very small for the money, 3.75" tall, but worst of all it has absolutey NO scent at all. I mean no scent. And I have a very sensitive sniffer. I was surprised when I couldn't smell the candle through the box or through the thick brown paper packaging or even when I stuck my nose on it. Even after it had been burning in my closed bedroom for over two hours, I still could not smell anything but the burning wick. It also had quickly burned down about 20% during that time. I'm so disappointed that I spent $I8 on a candle that has no scent, rendering it useless, since I can't even give it away. Such a waste of money.

Great fragrance, burned a long time

I ordered the "Fireside" candle. It is anything but what you would smell by a fire. It is very perfumy, strong cedar smell, no "smoke". If you are hoping to get that smell of sitting next to a campfire, look elsewhere.

I wanted wax for an electric burner and had gone through several “wood”, “cabin”, “fire” candles and waxes and none fit what I wanted. I wants to feel like a fireplace was burning.This candle delivers. I just scrape a tiny row of its soft wax into the warmer every few weeks and it comes on just around bedtime for a half hour and it’s absolutely the perfect scent.

It was fine and smelled great the first day it was used, but every other time I have attempted to use it, It melts the middle faster than the rest and creates a big pool of wax to extinguish the flame making it unusable and a waste of 80% of the candle that's left. I even tried to scrape out some of the sides to not have such a big crater, and it still just melts straight down. Disappointing.

The candle is smaller than I anticipated, however the very sleek minimalist design makes for a great presentation with a set of all black candle tools as well.Out of all the gifts in a "steal the gift" gift exchange we had, this one was the one that was stolen repeatedly.The scent was great because it's neither sweet nor floral, but has a slightly smokey, woodsy scent with a touch of musk to it. It definitely falls on the masculine side of scents, but was universally loved by everyone who smelled it.
