......pretty disappointing
I bought two of these computers and one of them is slower than the other. I checked and they are the exact same specs, but they don't operate the same. One is laggy and is a step behind the other. The slower machine came with a deal pixel, so I sent it back and it was replaced (the LCD only), which took an extra week. HP wants to go through 3 hours of troubleshooting before they believe me, forget that.Windows 10 is FULL of bloatware and tracking software, so make sure to spend the first hour or so uninstalling all that junk!I wouldn't recommend this computer. It is pretty, but that's about it. I have had more problems with HP products this year I swear...

As an "Apple Snob"....this pleasantly surprised me! Worth checking out!
Honestly? This machine surprised me. I've been an Apple / Macbook user for SO many years that I expected to be disappointed. I truly expected mediocrity. I expected the 90s PC glitches and half-a** quality control.Disclaimer: I'm not using this as a traditional desktop computer. It's in my kitchen to help with recipes and let my kids watch a show on Saturday mornings (our special routine). Many reviews said it wouldn't be good for "gaming" which made me nervous since the video drivers and speed would also affect Netflix/ Hulu / streaming content. I'll cover that later.AESTHETICS: : The appearance of the monitor is attractive and it looks great on my counter. Very streamlined and takes up little room. Because it's a touchscreen - you really have no need for the keyboard/mouse. But if you're doing long-term typing..obviously this wouldn't work. Here is a cover that fits: Pawtec Flat Screen Monitor Cover Scratch Resistance Neoprene Full Body Sleeve for LED LCD HD Panel (23 to 25 inches)SETUP: Setting up this system was easier than I expected. As an Apple user, I found things easy to find even though sometimes they were labeled different. Except for....Windows changed the name of the standard computing term "MAC Address" (media access control). Maybe it's because of the on-going Windows/Apple competition? But it was super irritating trying to find the MAC address only to realize Windows changed the term it to something else. All electronic devices these days have a MAC address and it has nothing to do with Apple. Windows should have left that alone.I ran into a few setup glitches and to help you avoid those...here you go:1. Before you do anything....run all the Windows updates. There were a bunch and after running these updates...the system ran much smoother. Don't do anything else...update everything and THEN add your programs. I was having a problem waking the system up, watching videos etc but after I updated everything was great.2. I don't have an HP Printer - so I uninstalled all the pre-installed printer drivers and other gaming programs I wouldn't use. I wanted it as clean and fast as possible.3. If you're a Chrome User - import your browser details only after all the updates have been made. They are pushing their Microsoft "Edge" browser pretty hard...but I couldn't get into it. It seemed complicated and had features that didn't seem worth the hassle.DAY-to DAY USE: Again, like I said above, I intended to use this in my kitchen ONLY to watch shows while cooking, look at recipes etc. However, I'm finding I'm using it to check my calendar, check Amazon orders, weather, even print documents. I'm super surprised at how much I'm liking this computer.CORTANA: She's Siri's awkward cousin. Trying so hard to compete but just still geeky and un-refined. I really tried to get Cortana to work. But I found it burdensome. Also - how do you say "Cortana"? With a Spanish speaking accent? Or like a Midwestern harsh, nasally "a" ? I didn't want to think this hard. I also downloaded the app on my iPhone but it didn't make sense and I gave up.SUMMARY: I told my husband yesterday - I honestly am surprised at how much I'm enjoying this in my kitchen. It's helping me in ways I didn't think were possible. Now my biggest problem is maintaining my discipline and not having it on all day! It's a super useful tool.I took away 1-star for the following:1.) I wish the stand swiveled. It's wide enough that it's awkward to move. I'd love if it turned easier.2.) There is still the occasional crashing and slowness - but it's not consistent.3.) Cortana needs more work. Couldn't get her to work consistently and you need to still help her a lot.

All the Pros, Cons and the Oks for this HP 24-g030. (From HR)
Here is a full summary of all the pros, cons, and the Oks for the HP that I found so far.Pros:- Comes with a mouse and a keyboard.- It’s able to stand its weight if this is your average day office space.- Design of the computer is impressive.- Little to none noise when using it.- Speakers are goodCons and Oks:- AMD processor is very weak; it works fine if you’re only using it for the internet and or simple documents (Microsoft word, etc.)- Will not work for a gaming and video editing as the computer isn’t powerful enough.- The Celeron process runs around 1.6hz (its slows)- A decent amount of reviews have been receiving hardware issues when getting this. If you get the blue screen of death than your hardware is mostly like malfunctioned and it’s time to call service.- Non-glare screen- Windows 10Overall:This computer is slow as your better of buying a tablet with the same price; it’ll have a more powerful processor. If you want to buy office computers then this is right down your alley because it’s a great computer, if you only want to use it for web browsing and writing. Other than that gaming, video editing, and any medium-large programs are not best for this computer (as you can see why the cost is so little).Hopefully I was helpful to you all. With loveHonest Reviewer.

Take your time, enjoy the view
If you prefer working with a desktop over a laptop, this is for you. It's very easy to set up, and I had it running within minutes. It comes with everything you need--the processor and speakers are in the monitor housing, and the keyboard and mouse are included. This is a good choice for someone who wants to do basic word processing and internet surfing but who is not into elaborate programs (gaming). The monitor is HUGE. It makes such a difference and results in a lot less eyestrain. Because of the improved visuals, you can really enjoy videos a lot more.It is, however, kind of slow. It takes about 20 seconds to actually go online. If you expect that, it won't be frustrating--just know that head of time.I am still playing with this to learn about all the features. I will update if anything jumps out at me.
