Works very well on metal plastic and wood. I do a lot of welding and cutting work on metal and he's fine line markers show up nicely on metal. They have been very durable in my application and as long as you keep the cap on them they don't dry out. Much more usable than the Fine Line markers you find that office supply stores or home improvement box stores.

Markers arrived on time in good condition. My use case is for marking golf balls using a stencil. The tip was thin enough and the long neck is great for marking through stencils. The red color bled a little. Drying time on golf ball was a few minutes and still smeared a little after 10 min that's why I deducted 1 star. The smearing did stop after approx 15-20 min. Noticed they work better, less bleeding if you don't press hard when marking. These would be great for carpentry, etc. If the marking on the golf balls make it through one round, I'll upgrade to 5 stars!

When you need a marker like this it is very hard to make do with something else. Which means normally at the hardware store they are quite pricey. These are reasonably priced for their quality. The nibs deform more quickly than some I have had but they still work fairly well even once the nib starts to lose its shape. I also appreciate the color variety very much. Means when marking for different things I can color code so fewer errors are made. I have taken to buying them as stocking stuffers and the handy people in my life are always impressed I put such an “expensive” gift in their stockings!

I use these at work and in the garage. They work great and have many uses.

Precisely what I needed to locate an awkward hole. Black showed up well against rusty steel and I got my hole drilled where I needed. Could not have gotten a pencil or a sharpie down the hole. It was like a hole for a #10 screw in 7/16ths thick material.

The pens allow you to reach areas where you would not be able to with a normal pen or pencil. Makes a clean crisp line on lumber, metal, and sheet goods, the line is permanent. Comes in three colors (red, blue, and black) and is handy depending on the material you are marking. The only drawback to the pen is if it should be dropped the tip will be ruined and will be useless (but that applies to any felt-tipped marker).

I have had them for only a few days now but if you need to mark in hard to reach places this is the answer.
