Warm, Comfortable, and Fits Great!
Picked up this Smartwool Cuffed Beanie in black, and it’s quickly become my go-to hat for colder weather. The merino wool is super soft, not itchy at all, and does a great job keeping my head warm without overheating. It’s lightweight but still provides plenty of insulation, whether I’m out hiking, working outside, or just running errands. The fit is spot on—snug enough to stay put without feeling too tight. It also stretches a bit, so it should work for most head sizes. I like that it’s not overly bulky, so it’s easy to toss in a pocket when I don’t need it.Overall, this is a solid beanie that’s well-made and comfortable. If you want something warm, breathable, and durable, Smartwool knocked it out of the park with this one!

Sleek and comfortable!
This is the perfect running hat for colder weather! It’s light to wear yet keeps you warm even through the winter runs! It has even washed nicely in the washing machine. Definitely a great buy for a runner!

Great quality and warm
I have read a lot of negative and so-so reviews of this beanie and I disagree completely. I think it's fantastic. I bought it for a trip to Belgium in winter time and used it daily for 2 weeks. Provided enough warmth despite being fairly thin (I personally don't like bulky hats) and looks refined. It's held up well and easily slips into a coat pocket when you don't need it. I have a 7 1/4 inch hat size and it fits with zero problem. It's a beanie, NOT a full size sock hat. That's what beanie means folks. It covers enough of my ears to keep them warm, while maintaining slim proportions. I think it's the best overall beanie I've owned. A+

Not bad
I kind of feel bad giving it 4 stars because the quality of the hat is a 5 star but it's thin and has those stupid seams that look like little rabbit ears and it hugs my head too tight it just doesn't look good

Very well worth the price!
My dad works construction, and he wears a beanie every day for like 6 months or more of the year because even in the spring he leaves early for work and it's chilly out. He's been doing this for like 25 years and swears this is the most comfortable beanie he's worn.I wear one too and although not as often, I totally agree with what he says.He says it's the warmest for how thin it is. But, not that it's not warm because it's thin. It's surprisingly warm. And all of the reviews about how breathable it is are completely accurate. If I was going to be running or doing something highly active I wouldn't wear it though, it's too warm for that. Instead when I go on my runs I wear the thinner, sport beanie from smartwool. That one is much better for high output activities. For every day protection from the cold though, there is hardly anything better than this beanie. You won't be disappointed buy it!

Smartwool Does It Again
This hat hugs my head (a 7 3/8) tightly, and looks like it would fit much smaller heads as well, as it stretches quite a bit. It keeps my head warm on cold days. Merino wool must be some kind of magic the way it transmits heat even if wet. However, the hat isn't waterproof, and driving rain and wind will still be uncomfortable, but for a bike commuter, it fits smoothly under my helmet, keeps my ears warm, and looks actually rather fashionable by itself once I get inside. It's more comfortable, more practical, and more effective than a normal wool hat. I have been looking for a solid, thin, warm, good-looking beanie for a long time, and this one fits the bill better than anything I've tried.

Not quite what I expected
Yes, it's quite warm and soft and it isn't itchy. But I find this beanie a little too snug for a one-size-fits-all product, and my hat size is 7 1/2 to 7 5/8. It also sits more like a helmet liner or skull cap than what I view as a traditional wool stocking cap. Maybe it will stretch and break in over time.

I LOVE it (and so do the months)
Love this hat for all around comfort, style, warmth!\. I have bought 3 over the past couple years. The reason for repeat purchases is that left with other winter clothing during the "off season" I find that moths love this wool hat as much as I. It's remarkable, it happens each year (the months seem to only prefer this fine wool cap over all others). I now keep it in a zip lock bag. I'll keep buying this hat if it happens again. : )
