Are you kidding me with this? Unbelievable. Best $7.99 OBD II. Period. You can spend more on a Scan Gauge II.This did not work with FORScan. It works. At lest it worked on the vehicle I plugged it into, and the Android device I paired it with.Amazon Fire Android tablet, + Torque Lite free download.I did not read the literature enclosed. Pairing was simple. I went to the tablets settings to search for device, plugged this unit into vehicle OBD II port, started vehicle, and paired.Makes me wish this was available 10 years ago when I spent a small fortune on ScanGauge II Ultra Compact 3-in-1 Automotive Computer with Customizable Real-Time Fuel Economy Digital Gauges But then again, where were Android tablet computers 10 years ago? Back then, I had more hair on my head, a smaller waistline, and didn't need the Viagra. Now, you can monitor whatever it is that your app allows for, and perhaps read the check engine light codes, and even reset the check engine light.Keep in mind that by itself, this item is useless and does nothing. You will need an Android device with Bluetooth, and some sort of free or paid app. But if you have what you need, then this device is perfect for the price.

Did not work for me!
Just ran a scan on the CD that came with it and it has viruses! Unit will not work with any playstore apps either. Torque pro lite and the pay version do not connect to the device. Tried several other apps with no luck. It just won't connect to any app. It does connect to my phones Bluetooth but thats all. Now Amazon wants to charge me $6.50 to send it back and it cost me $8.00.....Get what you pay for! Buyer beware!I have experience with OBD2 scanners and my other ones work fine with the same phone and vehicle, just putting that out there!!

Warning - Viruses included CD! Device works but skeptic of hardware
WARNING, the included CD contains VIRUSES! Do not install any of the software in the CD. I scanned all the files in the CD using multiple scanners, including uploaidng the files to virustotal.com and clamav and they all report SMS payment and other malware. The device seems to work, but now I wonder if there is malware hard-coded in hardware that may damage the car's computer.

Excellent Mechanic's Tool.
Works Great!! Able to view and clear fault codes with the right Android App.I am using "Torque (Lite)" free version on a Sprint HTC One M8 Harman\Kardon with Android 6.20.654.3.Easy link via Bluetooth. Pair your phone\tablet\etc with the this device after you plug this into the diagnostic port on your vehicle (to provide it power). Instructions are included with 2 different 4 digit security codes to be able to pair this with phone\tablet\etc.Then search for the device in the diagnostic app that you are using. It can also be left in while driving to provide live feedback of your vehicle but does get a little warm if you do though.I definitely recommend this item. As another person stated.... The best $8 purchase for working on your car..

wasted
Died after very little use... was kept inside my center console so maybe it got too hot in there? Either way, wasted money

Says right on the device "supports all OBDII protocols. ...
Says right on the device "supports all OBDII protocols. Worked on two of my vehickes, but does not work on my 1999 motorhome with the chevy c10 chassis. I can read that vehicle with my large handheld reader and it uses protocol J1850 PVW which does not show up on this reader. so no, it does not include all protocols.

I had no idea my car knew these kinds of words
Snapped it into place, paired the OBD2 adapter to my phone and Kindle, Downloaded the app to both. Works great on either, but only one at a time of course.
