Great Meeting Headset
I attend multiple conference calls during the day and was using a stereo wired headset with less than average comfort ear pads. I wanted a comfortable wireless headset purpose built for phone/conference calls. This headset checks all the boxes and more.Included: Headset, charging stand, usb bridge, black storage bag (neoprene exterior with felt interior), charging cable (usb-a to micro usb), small instruction booklet for poly software install.Headband - The headset feels sturdy and well made, the top band is metal, providing rigidity. The height adjustments click as you extend and retract and hold in their place well once adjusted. My old headset would readjust when I would extended it over my head when I put it on, the Poly adjustment holds firm.Earpads - they are on-ear and are very comfortable and soft, so wearing for several hours is not a problem.Speaker cup - The mic side has the volume controls and are easy to use. It also has small LED lights showing if you are on a call or off a call.Mic Arm - The mic arm is very solid and picks up my voice easily and clearly. It folds up in the center for storage. The mic arm can fold to either direction for Left or Right side preference. When it folds up, during a call it will toggle the mute feature.Mute button - The mute button is easily accessible on the mic arm and when you press it, it tells you if you are muted or unmuted. (great feature if you are not right at your desk) When you are muted and a noise happens or you talk, it will tell you "Muted". However, this will only occur after the first noise, so if someone near you says something or you type, it may pick that up and say "muted", and will not tell you again.Wireless - I really enjoy being wireless, I don't have to worry about pulling on a cable, I can get up and get a glass of water while on a call. The USB bridge has a good connection throughout my house.Power switch - When turned on, the switch has a green colored area clearly showing you its on. When you switch it on, the unit tells you if its connected and its battery life.Noise Cancelling - The noise cancelling is ok, its nice to have on the low setting during a meeting. Hearing my own voice sounds clearer when its on. The high setting is tiring on my ears after a little while and I have to turn it off.USB Bridge - The provided usb bridge is to connect to a computer, I prefer this over using bluetooth. The USB also has a light showing if you are on a call (Red) or off a call (Blue). Nice feature if you have people walking up to your desk.Charging stand - The charging stand holds the headset firmly, the bottom has rubber pads so it doesn't scratch your desk. It plugs in via USB to charge, no AC adapter is provided.Poly software - This runs in the background in taskbar, tells you when the headset connects or disconnects. The app will tell you battery life and in taskbar provides some ambient noise choices (Mountain Ranch, Gentle Ocean, Babbling Brook). Can setup alerts for disconnects, low battery.Storage - The earpieces swivel so the unit is somewhat flat when you place it in the provided zippered cloth bag. The provide bag also has an interior zippered pocket to hold a charging cable and usb bridge)I am very happy with my purchase and have recommended to some of my colleagues.

Fantastic Audio Quality and Windows 11 Integration
Are you tethered to your desk all day and need a solid pair of headphones with excellent voice quality over a mic? Poly Voyager Focus 2s offer all that and immeasurably improved voice quality over competitors, like WH-1000MX5s, which are forced to use low-quality, terrible mic quality in hands-free mode because of Windows 10 and 11 driver limitations. Hands-free headphones without a dedicated mic, like Jabra or Poly, have absolutely rotten quality that's unuseable for recordings, Teams voice chats, and basic use.I've put Poly Voyager Focus 2s up against the Jabra Evolve2 65s, and the Jabras got sent back. That was after a sad fail on the WH-1000MX5s that had beautiful sound and horrendous voice quality.THE GOODHoly cats, these things work easily right out of the box. Turn them on and bam, my Windows 11 laptop immediately picked them up without hesitation. Connecting to other Bluetooth devices was effortless. It synced up beautifully with MS Teams and my coworkers reported excellent voice and sound quality lacking in my previous set of $200 headphones.Poly's over-ear design is comfortable and great for long-term wear. I am extremely leery of rotating headphone designs (Jabra Evolve 65s consistently break for me on the boom) but the construction seems to be better and sturdier with an unfortunate rotating pivot. Time will tell if they hold up to daily but gentle use. The boom's solid construction and great placement avoid getting entangled in long hair, earrings or literally in your mouth from unfortunate design (hi Jabra). I love the feature of auto-mute when I push the boom up.Recording quality has been excellent when using Articulate, Camtasia, Captivate, SnagIt, and Adobe products. It's had little issue adapting for different sound volumes or programs.Poly excels in noise cancellation and the Voyagers are great. While *I* hear the garbage man outside while my landscaper's mowers and blowers are running loud enough to be heard two provinces over, my coworkers claimed not to hear a thing. While I could still hear the general roar of noise outside, if muted somewhat by whatever noise cancelling these have, they didn't and that was important. These keep a long charge. The tilted stand isn't my favourite but it's a good design that rarely falls over and the headset charges very quickly. It uses a single side input between the earpiece and the headset itself, so I'm not sure how long-term durability will be on that.Suggestion: Make sure to keep the Poly dongle in the USB port for maximized call quality and clarity. I've not tried the headset much without them, but it makes a significant difference for range and quality.THE BADThe one- or two-second pause when the Poly headphones sync up with my laptop's sound. This has challenges when I'm doing fine-tuned audio work, like cropping sound tracks, and requires me to either leave longer pauses in my recording or flip to another headset for that portion of the work. I haven't found a way to overcome this setting.OVERALL: 4.5 stars
