Good product
Works great with my garage door. A little tricky to program. Make sure to select the right code.

Awful experience.
I'm giving another 15 minutes of my life to relate my experience with this worthless product. I have a Chamberlain liftmaster (purple learn button). So far 3 smart people and have spent at least 4 hours unsuccessfully trying to pair this. In the meantime the cars and other remotes have lost all their codes. We have followed the written directions and defaulted to several youtube videos. Tomorrow I will pay a professional to make 4 various devices hopefully functional again. . Everything worked fine before. I have to keep it because it is now permanently attached to my home. Otherwise I would throw it away after breaking it with a hammer. Buy something else.

Needs more instructions, but good device.
Works great, but after my son installed it, my remote garage door openers (incld. one in car) didn't work. We looked and looked and no instructions on how to pair your remote openers to the unit in the garage again. My son went to YouTube and found instructions and got it done easily. Those instructions should be in the package instructions. I rated it 4 stars for that and the fact that you have wait longer than most keyless entry pads to put the code in again.

Will not work for any Liftmaster with a part number ending in MC including 98022, 8500, 8500C, 8500W
WARNING!!! The universal version of this keypad is not compatible with any Liftmaster units that have product numbers ending in MC -- MC only appears on the physical label of the units. 98022 and 8500 are MC units (jackshaft aka wall mounit lift motors), see what I think is a complete list below.I wish someone would have posted this or it was disclosed by Genie in advance (not even on their support web page) but it wasn't -- so I'm going to save a bunch of you 2+ hours of time by letting you know!Looks like a nice universal keypad, however, I had to return it because it will not work with my Liftmaster 98022. Any Liftmaster that has a part number ending in MC this will not work with, apparently these models are made by Liftmaster to not work with universal keypads. MC does not appear anywhere when buying these openers but it's on the product label of the units, see my pic. From my research I believe all these models are MC (verify via your label though to be sure):8587W, 87504-267, 87802, 84602, 84501, 8365W-267, 8160WB, 8160W, 8165W, 8155W, 8164W, 98022, 85870, 83650-267, 81600, 81602, 81650, 81550, 81640, 84504R, 84505RGenie would be well-served to save both their time and customers' time by stating incompatible lift units rather than just saying it works with all yellow learn button units which is simply untrue. In my case, I spent 2 hours trying to program it and finally level 2 Genie Support confirmed in 10-seconds it's incompatible. Not a good user of their time nor mine. But like I said, if you have another Liftmaster or other lift and need a universal keypad, I think this one is well made. I purchased it rather than the Liftmaster because Liftmaster has chosen to use god-awful colors and do not offer any white models except for the new unit that has a built in camera and very poor battery life (VKP1-LM). I will buy a camera model if/when Liftmaster releases a wired unit that doesn't require unmounting to access batteries to change them every few weeks or months (best case).Even Genie support people wish the incompatible models were listed somewhere.

Not as compatible as advertised
I really like the keypad. I have one Craftsman and one Liftmaster opener and having one pad for both was a nice clean touch. Instructions are clear and all is good except the fact that I can't get it to learn one of my garage doors. They even have special instruction for Liftmaster with "Yellow" button (#4) but they did not work. I contacted Genie support and after 2h they actually got back me with a callback. They said they got the instructions from Chamberlain/Liftmaster and did not know how to help. They said to contact Chamberlain/Liftmaster and their support reply was "We have our own keypad, use that". I still need a keypad and will keep it for the one door, but note it may not learn a Liftamster 8500 (in my case) with yellow button as advertised and you won't get any useful help from Genie/Liftmaster support. Due to not meeting the advertised compatibility, I am giving it 3 stars.

Works With Genie Blue Max Screw Drive Model 12 A
It may take multiple attempts to program but it eventually it worked. Took me atleast 5 attempts.Use the Genie instructions for: Alternative Programming Instructions (Dip Switch Models)Genie Blue Max Screw driveFrequency 390Model 12A12 dipswitches (2 positions)12A refers to a retail model internal receiver indicating GPT90 controlsTip: Genie support recommends that for higher probability for successful programming that garage door is opened and that you're less than 5 feet from the opener when attempting to program.
