Q: brand new, won’t turn on?

I have that problem when plugging into USB 3.0 (the blue colored plug), but works fine in a standard USB.

Q: Where do you cut these? Can you describe where in the strip, i don't want to knock the whole strip out?

On the strip it has little lines that have a scissor symbol on them, and has multiple on the strip in different places and those are the places you can cut. It worked perfectly for me.

5 meters at 150 lights is 3.33 cm purchased lights are 6.33 cm. I need closer spaced leds. are you counting the leds as 3 lights?
