Q: Has anyone installed these lights in the manner the product description suggests: by tapping directly into the vehicle's backup circuit?

Due to the low amp draw I connected my lights directly to the backup lights just ahead of the sockets on the tail lights. I also used a weatherproof fuse, just for added piece of mind. You'll love the lights.

Yes, that price is for the pair. It’s worth it. I’ve bought a set for both my trucks and used the hell out of them plowing up here in Alaska. They’re bomb proof, brighter than most other lights and low profile. Best light you can get without blinding everyone in a parking lot when you back up
