I love everything about this clock. The craftsmanship is remarkable. This is my first and I knew I made the best decision. I decided to get 8 day so I could wind it up over a couple days and not be dependent on an everyday pull. The music box that plays Edelweiss and Happy Wanderer is perfectly tuned. Seriously, the clock is utter perfection. I had some issues getting the clock to run and Claus was always in touch within minutes of me sending him an email asking my countless over general questions (aka being annoying). I will recommend checking EVERY SINGLE CHAIN LINK. Any twisted link will cause the clock to stop and rightly so - the twist will not allow the chain to pass through the mechanism and keep the clock running. Some of the links get tangled in packing/shipping and need to be unkinked. I recommend ISDD so much, I just bought a Quartz Engstler being delivered tomorrow. Can't wait!!! The wood carving is very beautiful, and pictures do not do it justice. I have had the clock for a few weeks and runs perfect with no issue. Also, the clock is very east to setup. Do not hesitate if you are thinking about buying one.

The media could not be loaded.  We've had this clock for over five years, I just recently took it apart in order to clean and oil the mechanism using a high grade synthetic clock oil. I also gave the wooden housing a fresh coat of boiled linseed oil. It's a beautiful clock and once the pendulum is adjusted properly it keeps excellent time.
