During a power outage will the battery automatically kick in to power the cpap machine?

I don't agree with the 2 answers already given, and I'd like to offer a different perspective.  I've used this battery for my CPAP for over a year now.  Received the info from my Sleep Doctor.  I plug the CPAP Battery into the outlet, and the CPAP itself, into the battery and use it that way every day.  If power goes out, the CPAP is still running along because it is hooked to the Battery....so I don't even notice until the morning, when I wake up.  Always stays charged. That's been my experience for a year or so, and I didn't even think about it.  Meaning, when power outage was restored, the battery recharged, and all was well.  Where I found issues was when the power is out for more than 1 day, because then I need to fish the battery out from under my night stand, and take all the cords somewhere to charge it....which is not always convenient.  I do see you can buy a "Double" set of batteries and that may be useful for someone living where power drops frequently more than 2 days at a time.  For me that's rare, and only every 2-3 years or so.  That I can live with for the price.Sounds like you can do cheaper with the above recommendation of a car battery, but for me, I really like placing this thin battery under the back of my night stand, along with an 6 outlet extension cord, and when all is plugged in right, push the night stand back against the wall.  Works great, and makes power outages a non issue in the middle of the night.

Can I run a humidifier if I connect two batteries?

I have a Philips Respironics System One and I never use the water chamber when camping. Last summer I typically got 3 nights before needing to recharge, but it also depends on what your RX setting is - mine is 9 (not sure if it is cubic feet of air per ???),  but another friend has a setting double mine and had to recharge daily. It also depends on the altitude where you’re camping - we were at 2,000’ to 3,000 feet above sea level and at his home area, he can’t camp at 8,000 feet as the battery won’t last the night.

Does one need a S9 converter device in addition to the CPAP battery pack here described

yes.  The S9 is 24 Volt . This is 12 volt.  There is an adaptor required for the s9.
There is a specific version of this battery that is sold for the S9.  It comes with an adaptor that converts 12V to 24V

Question 4

Has anyone used this with a Transcend Mini? How long did it last?

Not sure about the transcend mini but would run my System one for two to three nights.
