It will charge your phone. Unfortunately, if you want to rapidly charge your phone, it probably won't work. The base connects to the charger via a MicroUSB connector. It's really hard to find a pure USB C dock, and this one does not qualify.

Its a USB 3.0 dock but the input is Micro USB (cable included). This is great if you have a few Micro USB cables and wall chargers.

Does not work for the pixel at all, and I'm not sure how this works on any phone without a very thick case. The point of a dock is to help guide the charging port and support the phone, and this does neither.

This case is awesome, looks and feels pretty good.

I primarily used this for my OnePlus 3 for a while (like for charging overnight, or at my work desk). It holds the phone up steady, and charges at least as fast as a standard charger. I save the "dash charging" for the car, or when I am out-and-about and need to stop at an outlet for a few minutes.I've even recently started using it to dock my Switch! It charges fast enough to play in tabletop mode and still gain battery, without draining. It's actually really awesome and I ordered a second so I can leave my original at work and have the second one at home.

This works great for my Pixel XL. I have it plugged into my work computer so I can use it as a charger and a stand whilst I work on the computer. I have a decently think case on my phone but it still fits into the holder without issue. This docking station works perfectly for my Google Pixel xl. I've gone through 2 charger cord in the past month because they don't last so the docking station is a major help. I just pop it on the dock and that's it. You need a micro USB / Android charger to plug this in. It comes with one but it was a short cord so I used a old micro USB to plug in the dock to the wall.

Nice and slim, good feel. Only complaint is that it's tough to get on and off the phone when needed. In a way that's good because the case doesn't fall off. Overall I'm really satisfied with this case.
