Great pen
Nice shape and quality, easy and smooth for writing

Possibly the least substantial pen ever in history!
Incredibly thin barrel walls, soft, cheap. The nib writes like a sewing needle, but consistent flow. Hole in the end to prevent you from converting to eyedropper (petty). And possibly the worst visual impact ever. I appreciate minimalism, but this is like writing with a plastic straw with a nib. The Pilot Petit1 for $3 is such a clear superior pen that writes well and looks cool, that I can't believe I was stupid enough to pay $12 for this Sailor pen, but I will keep it just to show others how crappy it is.Embarrassing and simply funny!

A cheap pen with nice Sailor nib
The small, narrow barrel is a cheap feeling plastic with a hole in the bottom that can be sealed for use as an eyedropper. The nib is a stiff steel, fine nib with no line variation, but it's a predictable quality Sailor nib. Those are the characteristics I was looking for in this pen (although I'd have liked a better quality plastic barrel and cap). The pen will not be an EDC, but I expect it will serve me well for sketching and drawing with a large ink capacity and fine nib, and cheap enough not to be concerned about losing it.

Great cheap pen!
I wonder if Haruki Murakami bought a similar pen in the 70's when he said he bought a $5 Sailor pen for his first novel. It's a great writer, very comfortable to hold. I really enjoy using it.

I can write comfortably all day with this Sailor fine point fountain pen with effortless ink flow!
I love the fine point and excellent ink flow of this Sailor fountain pen! And the clear ink chamber is lovely, a new style for this model.I was challenged by very slow delivery from Japan, but worth the weight. The pen arrived in excellent condition, the seller packed it protectively for the long journey.

This an awful fountain pen
It looks nice, but the nib is so scratchy!!! That is very painful to write with it. There are much better options at the same or lower price.

Scratchiest Pen, Cheap-looking
Pen nib was so scratchy- VERY unpleasant to write with. I'd heard that Sailor pens had some pleasant feedback, but this was awful. The packaging was nice, but the plastic pen body feels & looks cheap and the weight of the pen is much too light. I'd recommend buying Pilot Kakuno- the materials are much higher quality and the nibs are super smooth & reliable. I have 2 and really enjoy them. This was a bust.
