We've been using these for years. They work great and hold up long time. Haven't had any fail over several years. No leaks. If you have a pool, it's not a matter of if your pump breaks. It's a matter of when. And after you start repairing your pool pump the repairs become more frequent. Take the time and make the effort to put these in make servicing anything much faster

As pool tech, I’ve used multiple units over several yearsSome observations . . .1) threads on adapter into pump are clean , sturdy and precise.2) screws into pump with tight, complete fit.3) the o-ring that seats against pump is what seals airtight, not the threaded portion.4) therefore, I add generous amount of silicone lube to threads and oring.5) one slight difficulty - the new union is hard to unscrew. Hence, I add silicone lube to the union threads also. Problem solved.6) one caveat, installing just one union on pump can be difficult to impossible. Installing on both inlet and outlet is . . . easy.7) I’ve had some installed for several years. No problems.Recommended

Replaced pool pump so I took the occasion to replace all of the plumbing from the point where the pipes came out of the ground to the point where the pipes go back into the ground. These worked out great and looked really clean and professional. Because they’re half unions, future work will be easier. Glad I purchased them.

The unions worked well with my Whisperflo pump. Nice, tight fit.

These are ALMOST a direct replacement for the original fittings on my Pentair pump. The old fittings had round "O" rings, these are flat. I hoped to be able to swap out the portion of the fitting that screws into the pump (the old one was cracked and leaking) but the "O" rings were different so the surfaces wouldn't mate. Consequently, I ended up cutting out the old fitting and gluing in this one. It worked perfectly. Decided to change out both suction and discharge at the same time. No leaks. These are well made. In fact, I think they are better than the original parts. Time will tell if the "O" rings hold up to the chlorine.

Quick delivery....have had on about a week; both inlet and outlet installed with no issues, lube on gaskets and teflon on theads. Required some PVC work for space but that was expected because on install. As a few others have said builders should install these unions on pool build

Perhaps just the ones I got, but the 2 I bought have leaked since I put them in. Thread sealant was used, and the correct PVC solvent/glue was applied. I'll be buying ones from my local store, as the one I got from them is holding tight.
