Nice thermometer. Responds quickly to air temperature change.
I purchased this thermometer to use for air temperature measurement, including outdoor air temperature measurement for meteorological observations. The thermometer responds quickly to air temperature changes. I took it outside this evening and the temperature adjusted from 75 F to 25 F fairly quickly (less than 5 minutes). The air temperature reported by the thermometer was in sync with my other outdoor thermometers that I use for weather observation. The glass bulb at the base of the thermometer appears to be slightly crooked, compared to the rest of the glass tube, but the thermometer works fine. I suppose this is a normal result from the glass blowing manufacturing process.

Spec it +/- 3 degrees F but mine is not that far off
Note scale divisions are 2 degress F. For the range I am using that means an accuracy of +/- 3 degrees F. I am dissapointed by that spec as that is what I get from a cheap thermometer. In use it does seem to be closer to 1 degree. Maybe I'm just lucky.Here is the text they include with the product.For a thermometer that has an upper scale limit of 150°C (302°F) or less, the accuracy is +1.5 scale divisions; ± 2 scale divisions above 100°C (212°F); and ± 3 scale divisions below -35°C (-31°F). For a thermometer that has an upper scale limit greater than 150°C (302°F) the accuracy is ± 2 scale divisions; ± 2.5 scale divisions above 100°C (212°F);+ 3 scale divisions above 200°C (392°F) and ± 3.5 scale divisions above 230°C (446°F).

using for an aquarium
faster reaction time than a dial thermometer.

One arrived completely broken, other was defective.
One of the items arrived completely broken in half with shards of glass everywhere, I could not even remove it from the casing. The other item had dye separated and would not read the temperature correctly.

Great
Used it to calibrate my home weather station. Make sure to store in upright position.

It's accurate for the BP of water
I didn't check it for freezing I assume one check is good enough.

Accurate
Accurate, submersible.

Broken out of the box.
Opened it up and saw this right away. It also doesn't read in one degree increments but two.
