Great sound quality and functionality!
I absolutely love this record player. We use this on a regular basis to play records and Bluetooth if we're cleaning the house and hanging out. The sound is great, it travels well throughout the home and blends in perfect to our home decor. It's durable, easy to use, and would make a great gift! Highly recommended!

Even prettier than pictured!
OMG! It is even more beautiful in person than shown in photo's! Everything works well, it was packaged well nd arrived on time. I think it is so pretty! I was torn between the black one and the light one because I always wanted a linnen Record pklayer in beige but I don't like light colored wood. I thought I was settling to get the beige linnen but when I took it out of the box I smiled imediatly! The wood is not so light that it washes it out but is a shde darker than I was expecting and very attractive with the black front and beige linnen. I wanted a box style with linnen and I got that and a lot more! Love it!

I absolutely LOVE this player, and it's totally worth the price.
To satisfy both types of review readers, here's both a super short review, and a thorough as possible review.SUPER SHORT REVIEW: I adore this thing. Everything works perfectly and it sounds wonderful, even before connecting it to external speakers. Loses just one star because of a few tiny cosmetic flaws as well as no true super low volume setting. Unless you're a REALLY uptight audiophile, it's totally worth the price, especially when it's on sale!_______DETAILED REVIEW: I upgraded to this because my other player is a standalone portable turntable, and I have a CD collection that I haven't used in years and wanted to go back to. Having read through previous reviews, I was initially a little nervous about having chosen this particular model; seeing people talk about the needle skipping or saying that the build quality sucks and/or has anemic internal speakers. So when I got this, I was sort of bracing for what would come out of the box.I set it up on the little stand that you see in the photos and hooked everything in, including a nice external speaker system I use for my work computer (yes I tested the player with and without it, I'll get to that shortly). The instructions are in perfect English and easy to understand. There is a thin, loose wire that runs out the back of the player, which turned out to be the antenna for the radio (SO PLEASE DON'T MESS WITH IT). I flipped the surprisingly tactile-y satisfying power switch to the ON position, and everything powered up just as expected.I went through each of the modes (except AUX) to test, first trying out the turntable. The speed is just right and buttery smooth. The records were nice and level when spinning, and no, I did NOT need a coin to keep the tonearm from dancing about the player. I'm not sure why others have needed it, perhaps it was either a defective unit or user error, as I doubt very much the performance of mine is the outlier.I first tested it without external speakers. The internal bass is surprisingly good, and the overall sound is full and not hollow at all, albeit a little directionally pointed since there's no speakers on the side of the unit. But ya'll, I tried it with the external speaker system added, and MY GOD the sound is fantastic! The internal and external speakers work together to create this amazing surround sound effect, and the level of detail you can pick out within the sound is *chef's kiss*. I know what I just said will likely make certain audiophiles REALLY mad, as there's this prevailing belief that the only way to have the best sound experience is to spend a minimum of high hundreds if thousands on a system. While I consider myself an audiophile too, but if I'm being honest, at least when comparing this Empire model to super pricey setups I've experienced in the past, you're not missing THAT much in the way of sound quality. Besides, no one should bankrupt themselves on a sound system before even buying music for it.So, the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. The unit, for as wonderful as it is, it ain't perfect, for two reasons. The first thing is the volume knob. I think the volume adjustment is digital rather than analog, and for some reason, the space between the first and second notch is completely silent, as opposed to outputting a really soft level. The external speakers compensate for this, but it shouldn't have to in my opinion. The second reason is the trim. On the large surface areas of the unit, it feels very nice. But while I of course knew that the wood trim was fake, I was under the impression that the edges of the unit would be completely wrapped, which it's not. A lot of areas do this flat and rigged application like home builders use for cheap countertop lamination. Because of this, the edges make you feel like you have to be careful when brushing your fingers across them so's not to rip up the trim. As shown in the third photo, this application has also caused a couple of tiny splits and wrinkles. Thankfully, they're on the back and VERY tiny, so they're basically invisible at any distance further than 12 inches. I'm someone who baby's their belongings anyway, so I know it's going to look just fine for as long as I own it.Guys, trust me when I say I don't regret this purchase at all. I friggin LOVE it, and it's going to get many years of use.

A Simple Nostalgia Piece that Warms the Home: Empire Music Center Review
The media could not be loaded. Before I delve into my thoughts about this product, it's important for potential buyers to recognize exactly what they're investing in. Based on some of the mixed feedback, it seems there may be a bit of confusion regarding the sound quality expectations. Many seem to have prioritized affordability over specific audio needs. Here's the lowdown: this is a plug-and-play record player equipped with a turntable, in the most general sense. It's not a high-fidelity turntable designed for audiophiles or vinyl collectors seeking the precise acoustic fidelity offered by brands like Sonos. If you're deeply invested in the vinyl culture and sound quality, you probably wouldn't be browsing Amazon for a turntable. Your tastes would draw you toward specialized brands such as HOUSE OF MARLEY, WRENSILVA, BDI, ANDOVER, or high-end VICTORLA.Having cleared that up, let me tell you why I adore this record player. Since I was young, I've cherished owning a simple, portable record player—the kind that joyfully spun records like 'The Wiz' and 'Grease.' To me, the Empire model is a delightful step up from my previous Victrola Journey player. The design captivates me with its nostalgic charm and elegant aesthetic. For context, I didn't buy this for its ability to compete with an amplifier or subwoofer. Rather, I was drawn to its dual purpose: firstly, as a practical, no-fuss record player, and secondly, for its timeless, vintage allure. In my view, this player hits all the right notes for creating ambiance. It's an all-inclusive music center that doesn't just play tunes—it also becomes a focal point that sparks conversations during get-togethers. So far, I haven't experienced any issues with skipping or sound quality, though I don't intend it for daily heavy use. This record player shines during special occasions, adding a layer of auditory charm. To potential buyers who are casual music enthusiasts looking for an item that merges function with style, this might be the perfect addition to your home. It's designed to provide a backdrop of music for your life's moments—not to dissect the nuances of sound but to envelop you in warmth and nostalgia.
