I love it
This thing is awesome. Well built, very light, lots of options, the samples sound realistic. If you wanna drum but don't have the space for a kit, you'll love it. Even if you're a seasoned drummer it would probably be perfect as a travel practice pad.

Great little drum kit!
I'm a new drummer, but have been a performing musician and sound tech for decades so I know quality sound. I've only had this kit for about an hour but am already very impressed with it. The sounds it produces are high quality, someone could actually gig with this if they wanted to. I'm talking about running it through a P.A. system, which is what I'm doing with it. The pads have a little bounce to them so it feels something like a real drum head. A lot of reviewers have had trouble with the pedals double triggering but I'm not having that problem. I think they actually have a pretty good response once you get used to them. They do need to be velcroed to floor so they don't move around. I haven't explored everything this kit has to offer yet but it is for sure a nice inexpensive set to learn to drum on. I really like having the internal songs that you can play to also. I'm very happy with it.

Very Versatile, with Good Sound, But the Pedals are Borderline Useless
Overall, the set works and sounds better than I expected it to. I love how easy it is to arrange the kit and adjust the voices to my liking (for example, the hi-hat pad in the original setup is in the middle of the set, which felt weird to me, so I switched it to the upper left-hand pad so that it would feel closer to the way my acoustic kit is set up). I'm also going to set it up as a jazz kit as a second option, and also try a few other of the many other kits and voices available. It's very lightweight and portable, which is good, of course.I love that I can adjust the voices of the various pads, especially the toms, which I generally like to sound pretty deep and resonant. It's also really cool that it can be set for hand-drumming.However, as many here have mentioned, the pedals ALMOST ruin it for me. The bass pedal can be either just right, oversensitive (two beats for one kick sometimes, which is really annoying), or just stop working in the middle of a song (when that happens, I usually make sure the wires are all pushed in securely enough, and sometimes have to turn the set off and then turn it on again to make it work--which is, of course, really annoying when I'm in the middle of playing).I took others' advice and got some velcro and attached the pedals to a drum-practice pad, with a dumbbell in front of it so that it doesn't slide away. But that doesn't fix the sensitivity problems. As far as the second pedal, for the hi-hat, goes, fuhgeddaboudit. Mine just doesn't work, except very randomly a few times when I'm not expecting it.I do wish that the company would come up with a better solution for the pedals, because they matter! I know that some people have somehow devised workarounds, or even somehow figured out how to attach a real acoustic pedal, but I'm not that clever with this stuff and, honestly, it shouldn't be necessary for the purchaser to do those things. If I didn't like the rest of the kit so much, I'd return it. But I'm hoping that the manufacturer reads the reviews about the pedals and offers a better option for those of us who have already bought the set. I'm surprised that they were able to manufacture and electronic kit that works so well for so many things, but couldn't figure out how to NOT make the pedals so cheap-feeling and wonky (especially since it seems that there are others here who might actually use the set to play small gigs).

AWESOME AUTHENTIC SOUND
Love these digital drums and they sound great! Easily connects to an amplifier with a 1/4" cable if you want to bring down the house!

It's a hit
I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband that played the drums in his high school band. To say that he loves it is an understatement. BUT.... if you live with other people, PURCHASE SOME HEADPHONES!!! Good Lord, I'm tired of hearing it already, lol.

Middle Aged Beginner Now Don't Wanna Work, Wanna Bang On the Drums All Day
I bought this on a whim. The only drums I've ever played was Rock Band. I really enjoyed that game, but the drum kit didn't last. I was going through a stressful period in my life and was thinking back to those fun times with Rock Band. I decided to buy this set just for fun. I gotta tell you....it's been a blast. There are so many great functions on it that I don't even bother with (even tools to learn) because I'm too busy having fun just listening to music and banging along with it. I've also figured out that I can look up old Rock Band drum songs on youtube and follow along with these drums! Yowza! Definitely a stress buster and a whole lot of fun, even if you're feeling too old to start something new.I have my drums set up on a wire rack with a towel folded under the back end to tip it forward. The wire rack allows me to have the drums at a comfortable height and also gives me a perfect place for my laptop to sit so I can follow along with those Rock Band videos.PROS: No matter what your skill level (mine was really zero), you can play this right out of the box and have a lot of fun with it.CONS: The pedals, as others have stated, are kind of a pain. If there was one thing I wish I could replace it would be the pedals. I'd love to be able to kick it without having it double tap or miss. It's just too touchy to do it right. I have found that I have better control by placing the pedal backwards and using my heel.I take the time to write reviews because I know that I rely heavily on honest reviews when I make Amazon purchases. If my review was at all helpful to you, please let me know!
