Trustworthy, reliable and solid
Easy to use, very small, very fast. Ideal for data backup, use with mobile phone, large video projects or just as general storage. Its very fast and reliable. This is the 2nd of the Crucial Pro SSD lineup I have, not one issue or fault. I often write and remove 400-500GB at a time, very speedy. Would recommend!I use this for transferring large video projects, excellent device and works well with full range of devices.Use: 2TB model, also use the X9 version too, again a very solid, reliable device.

Perfect
Fast but surprisingly small portable drive. Perfect to carry around, use as a backup, use on the go etc.

Worst product and customer service ever
Stay well clear . It broke after about 2 weeks . Kept ejecting itself on a brand new m4 Mac mini. long story short I sent it back to crucial 6 weeks later still no return no refund .. they never contact me . I’m doing all the chasing . I’m out of pocket and no sssd .. absolutely fuming . my trusty Samsung t7 still going strong with out a glitch .. Amazon if u can do something please contact me . As I have nothing to show for the £280 I paid

Drive failed after 5 months, wow
I tried several cabled and tried exFat and APFS, getting low level kernel errors like:2025-05-04 12:05:36.690903+1000 localhost kernel[0]: (IOStorageFamily) disk5: I/O errorThe drive randomly refuses to write. I did manage to backup my data thankfully, but very disappointing to have this failure after just 5 months of light use.

Great for 4K video storage.
Just what I needed to download video files to whilst on my EU tour of the sunny bits. From micro SD to this 2Tb SSD fast & furious. Worth paying extra for the quicker read/write speed.Because they are expensive, I gave it 4*'s; other than that, it is great. And so bloody small, just hope I don't lose it.

Speed, size, ruggedness
Brilliant piece of kit, attached via USB 3.1 to laptop the files fly. Why do we still struggle with SATA6 on internal discs - only for capacity, SSD is the way to go for speed.

Buyers remorse if I'm honest, but works, seems fast-enough, and nice short leads.
Not an awful price point, but also not an amazing one. The devices came formatted ExFAT, which will lead to wasting space if you have a lot of files (Like I will, taking backups)It's fast, but so would a NVME drive over USB-C enclosure (I own several). I'm a bit sad at Crucial for not. I guess it's smaller one way, but it's twice as wide. I Suppose it hasn't got as warm as NVMe USB-C have, but I've only used it for a few hours so far.
