Slimtech Precision Series TPU Dual Layer Shock Absorbing Case for Samsung Galaxy S7 - Gold

Overall: This Slimtech phone case is a thin, colorful, nice feeling case that will protect a Samsung Galaxy S7. The protective dual layer case has a simple design, looks great, and feels good in my hand. One negative thing is that the headphone jack hole is not quite big enough for the larger headphone plugs found on over the head headphones. The hole is just right for ear bug style headphones like the one that came with the phone.Full review: The phone case is made of two materials that fit together quite well. The colored (gold in this case) part of the case is a rigid, but still flexible plastic with nice texture on the back. The inner part is softer rubber that surrounds the phone. These two pieces fit together perfectly and are snug on the phone. The side buttons are well designed as they barely protrude and the phone responses nicely when they are pushed. On it's front, the lip of the case is only slightly above the face of the phone. I like this design feature, but I wonder if the lip should be bigger on the case around the front of the phone to protect the screen from drops. While using the phone, the color of the case is not noticeable to the user. For this reason, I kept getting surprised during the first day or so of use when I saw the gold color on the back. This case is sturdy and while the materials seem to be cheaper than some of the big name brand case makers, the case feels very good to use. I would recommend this case with the reservations that it feels a little cheap and that the headphone jack cutout is too small for some of my audio devices. My earbuds fit just fine, but the larger 1/8" / mini / headphone plugs do not fit very well with the cutout in the case. This is a good case and I the colors are really to my liking. The gold color and black fit so well together, moreover, I like the quality of the inner part of the case. The inner layer of the case is nice and I like the fact that I tried to scratch it (lightly) several times yet there was barely any clear mark left. As a person who is quick on their feet, I tend to throw my phone right into my pocket with all my other things including a lot of keys. My keys are the main culprit in scratching up my previous phones, so I wanted to see how well this case will withstand the scratching. Also, I used to prefer carrying my phone as it is because the cases I had were too bulky so I’d rely only on a screen protector to at least keep my screen safe. This case is slim enough that it would not be uncomfortable for me to carry around in my pocket also it actually looks good, for the most part. However, after taking a really close look at it, the outer part of the case does feel somewhat cheap, but again it looks rather great except that the edges don’t have a proper finish. Moreover the edges of the outer layer seem to stick out further than they should. Not to mention that I really don't know how well this case can withstand a drop. On the other hand, it’s great that there is room enough to access and use all the ports without having to mess with the case a little bit or remove it completely.I received this case for free in exchange for leaving an honest and unbiased review.

Pros:- Nice and thin. However, it does add a few mm to the phone. So if you are someone who is looking for a super thin case then this isn't it.- The back is a brushed aluminium textured plastic. This adds a little bit of extra grip to galaxy S7.- This is a 2 layered case. The outer layer is hard plastic while the inner layer is rubber. This should add a nice amount of protection.- The cutouts are all perfectly aligned. They are all nice and big so it shouldn't interfere with any connectors.- The side buttons are actually pretty good. It isn't too stiff or mushy. It's not the best I have seen but is better than a lot of the cases I have used.- This case is also pretty light as it is made out of rubber and plastic.- It looks pretty good on the S7 (Gold).- It was easy to install and take off. It isn't super tight on the phoneCons:- There isn't really any cons.Conclusion:If you are looking for a decent case for the S7 and don't want to break the bank then this is a good choice. I mean this case is very simple. It doesn't hold credit cards nor does it have a kickstand but being simple also means it doesn't make many mistakes. This is a case that doesn't offer much in terms of features but It accomplished what it sets out to do. Which is to remain thin while offering a decent amount of protection. This is a very slim case with covered side buttons and open cutouts for camera, headphones, charge port and speaker. It is ideal for people who like to carry their phones in their pocket. It is thin enough to easily slide in and out of most pant pockets.It is easy to switch between phone cases with ease; it only takes a few seconds to snap the case on/off the phone. The case comes in a fitted cardboard box that can be reused to store it when not in use.The case fits tightly around the phone and covers the back and sides. The outer brushed gold colored area of the case feels like hard plastic. The texture makes it easy to hold the phone. The inside black area of the case is softer; it feels more like hard rubber. The cutouts for the camera and headphone ports match the phone perfectly. The charge cord fits easily through the cutout without bending. The areas of the case around the camera and the edge of the phone screen are slightly raised to prevent scratches on the screen/glass surfaces. The power/volume buttons are responsive and easy to press.This case does not cover the phone screen, so I suggest also using a screen protector to protect the entire phone. I used a full coverage tempered glass screen protector with this case in the attached photos and it fits perfectly with the case.~ I received this case for free in exchange for my honest review.
