This is a standard size for bathroom sinks in the US. I measured just the opening of the drain, which is 1 3/8ths

Is the strainer section wire mesh or stainless metal line regular sink strainer?

It is not mesh and water does not drain well through it. Used in bathroom vanity sink and it did not work well for a sink that you would want to drain quickly. It’s like having a clogged sink.

What is the country of origin of this product?

I'm am not sure on origin. Still good product.

Will this strainer stop spaghetti from going down the drain?

I don’t cook spaghetti, but it does stop much smaller debris than that from going down the drain. Water flow will slow if too much spaghetti is in it, so you need to move the debris around to let the water flow through. I like my strainer. It’s also easy to clean.

Pretty good, the drain goes slow if you don’t constantly clean it, it fits and has it’s own outer ring. Completely covers yours so the drain looks like it was meant for sink.

Good quality. Could be better

Item quality is good. It fits the sink perfectly. It is easy to remove and clean. It traps hair fine. The only issue with this strainer is it slows the sink ( or the shower) signifcantly. I think the holes can be made a little bigger to improve the drainage.

Bought these so items won't fall down the drain pipe. People complaining about slow drainage need to take them out and clean them as they block debris from going down the sink and the holes clog. Sturdy item and good quality.
