I started seeing positive results from taking this supplement within about a week. After trying countless probiotics and other strategies to help improve my gut, I finally found something that actually works! My digestion in general has improved markedly.MY BACKGROUND:I've had a variety of digestive issues for decades, and though I've tried many probiotics, I've always had only either temporary or less than optimal results. I've always wondered why I've had to take tons of probiotics just to maintain a semi-normal digestion pattern and I think I figured out why: my gut environment has not been hospitable to the good bacteria that I'm ingesting -- i.e., the probiotics that I've been taking simply don't stick around. This is because I've had (I believe) an unhealthy presence of bad bacteria (probably due to stress and a somewhat weak digestive system) which has made it difficult for the good bacteria to optimally establish in my system.HOW THIS PRODUCT WORKS:This is a prebiotic meaning it is a product meant to create a better gut environment in which good bacteria (that promote better digestion) can establish themselves and flourish. There many different types of prebiotics, but this one deals with (a relatively new?) science that uses bateriophages. Bacteriophages are viruses that attach themselves to the cell wall of certain bad bacteria and disable them. The bacteriophages in this product (particular strains of myoviridae and siphoviridae) then release the nutrients in the bad bacteria in your gut, which feeds the good bacteria. In short, they help your good bacteria by eliminating its competition (the bad bacteria) and promoting an environment in which they can grow.SAFE?It appears safe to me. Bacteriophages in general are actually extremely plentiful in the world -- in soil, sea water, and intestines of animals. Bacteriophages have been used since at least the early 20th century to combat certain bacterial infections. It appears that more research has begun recently to more precisely determine the role bacteriophages have in human health (there aren't many studies currently, but scientific interest in this area appears to be growing). As to why it may be something our bodies actually need supplementation of, perhaps it has something to do with our food production process -- how we treat our soil and water and process our food -- that eliminates much or all of the beneficial bacteriophages that we would otherwise naturally consume. I'm not sure if this is true, it's just a theory of mine. Either way, I'm going to continue taking this supplement.UPDATE (June 2020): You may also want to look at Dr. Tobias's Deep Immune. It contains the same prebiotics in the same dosage as this product, but it also contains 4 billion probiotic bacteria. It's a great combination that I've used for years.

I was so happy that I took the time and read about Dr. Tobias products. I've had stomach issues IBSD since I was 14 and I'm in my 70's now. With suffering for that many years you can imagine how many products I've tried, so needless to say I had just about given up on finding something that really worked. For many years I didn't take anything and just suffered and anyone with that disorder knows how uncomfortable it is. It's prevented me from attending many functions throughout my lifetime plus the pure pain from having it, I was restricted to staying home a lot!Many of the gastrologist I've had throughout my lifetime had prescribed may prescription drugs only for me to suffer from the many side effects, with none of them really helping me. So needless to say I was about to settle with the fact that I just had to suck it up and deal with what I was dealt. Until I accidently ran across Dr. Tobias's products on Amazon. I could hardly believe what I was reading how 99.9 % of the reviews were so positive. So I thought why not take a chance one more time. I am so happy that I did it's been about 2 weeks now and my bloating, gassiness and sharp stomach pains are just about totally gone. My pants are fitting looser and I am SO happy with how much better I feel. My trips to the bathroom have literally dropped in half and I'm sure that will get better in time.Just be patient when starting it for it did take about a week for my body (stomach) to adjust to it and I even took another capsule in the evening just to help with the pains but OMG, the results I felt was within 30 minutes, this is an absolute Miracle Pill and the ingredients must be exactly what I've needed to help me for almost 60 years.I have since ordered Dr. Tobias's Probiotic to replace the one my gastrologist had me taking. I figured if the Probiotic is as good as it is the Prebiotic must be amazing as well. From what I read on it, it also had the benefits I needed. I am looking forward to getting it tomorrow and taking them both to see and feel the results I will have.I will update my review after I have taken them both for about a month. I can hardly wait.
