Forgetful Mog saves the day, actually the night.
Mog is every cat. But not quite. She is forever certain that she has not been and never will be fed sufficiently. She absolutely considers the flower box her territory, despite those funny noises her people make when she is up there, staring in the kitchen window at them. Then comes the night when Mog forgets her cat door, wants in, and goes to the flower box to communicate about this with her people, who are not there. Read how Mog saves the day, actually the night. It's a perfect tale for cat people and dog people, too, when a pet becomes a hero.

My dad always talks about how he used to read this book to us when we were kids. I was excited to be able to buy him a new copy to read to his grandkids. This is a board book version, which was a little disappointing, because we had the larger, hardcover book (with paper pages) growing up. Still, the book was in perfect condition and at least being a board book means that it will withstand lots of use. My kids love the story of Mog the Forgetful Cat.

Sweet, lovable Mog
I had "Mog the Forgetful Cat" as a child and loved it so much I named one of my cats Mog. We purchased this for our son's 3rd birthday. He's asked to read it every day for the past 2 weeks. Even his cousins from overseas are familiar with the book and gushed about how much they love it.The book is a reasonably accurate portrayal of pets doing silly things and the way adults and children react to them. It's nice for children to see that just because mom and dad gripe about the pets the children can still cherish them.

It’s good. I think the wording changed a bit from the original. I assumed it was a hardcover like mine many years ago. But still a cute story and glad to have it.

Perfect
I had this book as a child and loved it. My niece is fascinated by cats so I bought a copy for her (mine is quite beat up.) Since this is a board book it is very sturdy and great for toddler hands. Since it is a board book, I expected the story to be somehow shortened, condensed, or summarized. I was pleasantly surprised that the board book is the complete story. Of course the pictures are smaller but everything is there. And my niece loves it.

Pretty Little Cat!
I love cats, especially female tabbies. Mog looks so much like my parents' female cat. Her pose on the cover looks exactly as our cat looks. A great throwback to my childhood. This is a story about a cute, friendly, gentle cat named Mog, who is loved by her family (the Thomases), but also tends to get in the way. She eats Nicky's breakfast, for example. However, the Thomas' love for her is always shown afterwards. When she plays the unplanned role of heroine (stopping a burglar in his tracks), the Thomases realize fully just how important Mog is to the family.

childhood favorite
My two grown girls(each with their own daughter) had many favorite books growing up. Mog, the Forgetful Cat was one of them. When my oldest daughter passed down the children's books she had to her sister for her 1 yr old, there were some books she just couldn't part with. Mog was one. When she told me this, I immediately got on Amazon and found it for the year old granddaughter. I was so happy to find it. Thank you!!!
