These rudrakshas are precisely what you would expect nowadays. They are a size which is increasingly difficult to find & are dyed as is tradition. I've been buying & selling beads for decades & these are a better deal than some of my longtime vendors are currently offering. Word to the wise: Many beads are sold as a necklace because there's a different tax system for finished goods vs loose beads. Most folks cut apart the "temporarily strung" beads for use in their own designs & to make a stronger piece - prayer strands or otherwise. Some of my beads were strung & some were loose & they came in a nice storage bin. Excellent value. I'd buy more but they appear to be sold out!

These are exactly what I wanted and they're a great price. Some reviewers said that theirs had knots in between each seed, but mine were simply strung. I received 9 strands and a small bag. I'm glad that someone suggested soaking them. The color on the right is after soaking for two days. I definitely like the natural color better.

Unlike a different reviewer, my seeds came strung in complete malas, without the knot between each so it was easy to take them apart for beading use. No frills or tassels in my shipment (but that is perfectly fine, as they are not advertised to have tassels, I just noticed that other reviews mentioned tassels).The seeds are very obviously dyed, which is not an issue in that it is a beautiful color, but is an issue in that when they become wet the dye transfers onto your skin.

I ordered these beads as a project for a present, There was a glitch in the system and ordered 2 bags of them, I noticed it when I checked my bank account, tried to stop it but it had shipped already. They take to long as they're shipped by an independent company. These beads are to small, they were lose in the Amazon bag, they were dozens less than the expected amount; to return, you have to go though UPS. But the worst of all is that our intended recipient past away 10 days before they arrived.

The beads arrived in a gauze drawstring bag inside the shipping box. There were nine pre-strung, 108 bead Mala necklaces, complete with a hand-made tassel of low quality, and a shorter strand of approximately 50 beads. All of the strings were knotted roughly between each bead; a great idea for a completed mala, but a lot of extra effort to separate my desire was for beads in bulk.The beads themselves appear to be natural, with some variation in both size (between 6 and 8 mm) and color. Holes are about 1mm in diameter, with 5-7% of the holes drilled off-center or off-axis.There are higher-quality beads available, but at a higher price. If you are looking for mid-quality beads for bulk projects and don't mind investing time to separate strands, these are a worthwhile option.
