Practical, Works Great!
It is a very useful tool to double check alongside a Pantone color book.

Unless you have a pre-2023 phone, you should probably skip this one.
This product isn't really compatible with any phones made after late 2022. The app is best described as a link to a mobile version of your website that offers practically no utility. I'm sorry, Pantone but- this is just not a good product. It's a great idea but just a terribly, terribly botched execution - especially since you seem to have walked away from it.

Works well but there are some caveats
This is a pretty cool concept but it's pretty finicky. It's not completely accurate, especially if you use different lighting. I use it more to get me in the ballpark of what the pantone color is

NOT COMPATIBLE with all current generation iPhones
Pantone's website has a disclaimer that you should check their PHONE COMPATIBILITY list, and a warning that they ARE NOT adding new phones at this time - this product listing says none of that. Worse, the only current generation iPhone on the list is the iPhone 14 Plus, not the base model, or the Pro/Pro Max. Although the app installs and runs, the scanner function briefly (so briefly you might miss it) displays a message that my phone is not supported and just sits there. HOW THE HECK ARE YOU NOT MAINTAINING COMPATIBILITY WITH THE CURRENT GENERATION OF A MAJOR PHONE MANUFACTURER? BUYER BEWARE!

I want to use it so bad!
I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max, the latest device that is able to use this is the 14 Plus. I figured after time, they would update the capable device list, but it never happened. It just sits in my drawer, forgotten about mostly. Cool idea and concept, bizarre limitations though.

Does not match
The color detector does match the actual Pantone colors. Use the actual chart and got wrong results

Not compatible anymore! Seriously?
How come Pantone opted to limit this product to phones made before 2022? I upgraded my iPhone… Boom! I can’t use my Color Match Card again. It’s incredible how they opted to kill a product in such a way. Too bad Pantone, too bad.

I bought three items and I got two.
I don't know how to make the claim that I'm missing one and pay for three.
