RiteVal Short Barrel Wood Burning Kit with Case and Tool Stand

Great product for the price. It doesn't have adjustable heat but it does come with a really good assortment of tips. I personally used it for stippling my polymer framed firearms and it worked great for that I will probably use it for actual wood burning soon. It does however kind of vary with the tempurature. Sometimes it gets really hot and others it gets a little less hot but mostly a steady temp. Mine btw did show up with the latch on the box broken so not a big deal but if that's something that matters to you keep that in mind. All in all it works good and is reasonably priced.

On a whim I wanted to try wood burning. Got a 12 pack of woodpeckers brand wood door hangers to practice on and this kit. Comes with a wide variety of tips for all kinds of design needs. So far I have used probably half of them. This heats up quickly and cools down fast enough that tip changes aren't horrendous. I can get a drink or whatever while I'm waiting and continue on. I am 100% satisfied with this as a complete beginner set for someone who wants to try wood burning. I've made some cute stuff so far. I also had soem graphite transfer paper for tracing designs I can't draw by hand. Makes it much easier to stay on the lines. Good set for under $20. Also has a case which is nice.

It works, but it doesn't get hot enough to cut plastic Sterlite Tubs without bubbling up and needing to put some force behind it. I recommend paying a little more and getting a higher wattage one. If you're doing light burning and thin hot knifing, it will work great!

Really good for beginners, can't beat the price! I've been using it to engrave logs approximately 4in in diameter. So pretty little. I tape my middle finger because the iron is plastic & it gets pretty hot. But as I said before, you can't beat the price.

Haven’t had any issues with it. Takes quite a while to cool down so that’s a negative as it has to cool before you can change the tips out.

It works well and the delivery was quick and painless. The only thing I wasn't happy with was after a few minutes of use the orange handle became kinda warm so I had to hold it higher up.

For the price, it is a wonderful tool, versatile and easy to use. It has lots of piece options and heats up fast. I wish it had a longer cord. The biggest disappointment is how hot the handle gets. I have to wrap it in cloth to keep from burning my hands. So while this is a great tool, I feel that is a huge design flaw.

It worked really well for about 4 hours and I completed several small projects. However, the third time I used it, after using it for about an hour, one of the tips broke off inside the handle when I was trying to remove it. Now I can't get the piece out and it is useless. Also, the little kickstand that is supposed to hold the hot tip away from any surfaces keeps collapsing. I am going to buy the Walnut Hollow Creative Versa tool instead. I wouldn't try to use these tips in a different tool other because I am not sure they wouldn't break off again.
