The pen with the original cartridge is a medium-point (1.0mm) pen. However, that does not mean that the pen is not compatible with fine-point (0.7mm) cartridges. It is for this very reason that PILOT Pens sells fine-point cartridges in 2-packs for those who need them.

The original cartridge is a medium-point, but 2-packs of fine-point refill cartridges are available for purchase and can be used with this pen.

Q: Can we use “pilot g2 gel ink refill” for this pen?

I found out the hard way that the Dr. Grip G2 gel ink refills do NOT fit the Dr. Grip pen. I wasted money on the wrong ink refill. So now I have to buy the refill for my Dr. Grip pen and a Dr. Grip G2 gel pen in order to use the refills I bought that do not fit the pen I have now. I doubt Amazon would take them back since I opened the package. But now I know the two Dr. Grip pens, even though they look just alike on the outside, are different in the inside and they do not use the same ink refills.
