Very good
The door became a lot more rigid and it is very sturdy

Not all that great
Installed but it sure isn't as durable as I had hoped, very limited functionality and required a complete new set of holes to be drilled into the door and frame so not exactly the same as the one that was removed. The spring in the handle is weak and doesn't function well.

DOES THE JOB FOR 2017 SALEM
All good. I read other reviews before purchase. I took the cons, learned from that and installed without any issues. First I dry fit it. Next set the 2 different types of screws apart. Pencil the pilot hole spots on the bar and the door. In our case the aluminum was too long. Hacksawed off the excess. Next drilled pilot holes on left side. Dry fit. Add screws to the bar/black handle part. Next dry fit the whole bar, drill pilot holes on the right. Lastly attach via the more pointy screws into the door just enough, don't over do. Done deal.

Perfect, Its our third one
W bought one of these several years ago for the 5th wheel we lived in. Good productTraded RV for new one so we bought another bar and placed it in the usual position on door. It's a little harder for me on the steps so my husband suggested we get another new bar and hang it lower on the door as well so that I could reach the screen door from the ground. It works great and I love having TWO hand bars on the door.

Works
This does the job. The screen door is pretty fragile and only gives a minimal space to install. Be careful before you drill. My door is near the rear and I had to grind the corner of the handle off to clear the cabinet door. This is specific to my camper so you may not have that same restriction. While not horrible difficult to install you have to weigh all potential obstruction and clearances before you drill. It’s easier to install with 2 people so one can hold it in place while you drill holes and insure it is level and straight. It took me about 30 minutes to install with no help

Cheap screws!
The crossbar is nice and rigid once it’s successfully installed. But you better be on your best DIY game for the installation. The included screws are absolute JUNK and will break off with minimal torque if you don’t drill the holes the exact correct size. So use your own mounting hardware for best results. There are NO instructions included even though every installation will be a custom install and will require 12 precisely drilled holes. You’re on your own figuring out the exact screw placement and drill size.Good luck!
