I've had the previous version of this multimeter for a while now, it was good for use around the house, and for boat maintenance projects, because things on a boat are always broken. This new unit has several key upgrades, the backlight display is helpful when using in dark hatch areas, the display is much larger, and the unit appears to be more precise. Some things that are nice to have, the case is larger, and much more durable, now a rigid woven fabric with zipper as opposed to the previous case that could tear or rip much easier. And additional probe is now included with the kit as well. A small flashlight is embedded in the back, again handy to help find wires in dark hatch areas without needing another tool. Wall-mount and built-in leaning stand make it easier to use in a variety of areas.All in all, this is a great unit for the price, and should cover just about any electrical use around the house, and even light pro use.

The new Digital Multimeter from Crenova is a great upgrade over the previous model. It is still very accurate to test your outlets, battery status and perform other operations. However, adding new features as measuring temperature and NCV is a great bonus. (NCV allows you to quickly verify live voltage)The unit is larger but has a bigger display which makes easier to read the measurements. The unit is now powered by 2 AA batteries instead of one 9V battery. It is a small change but very beneficial to the customer as I always have AA batteries at home. So far, the only thing that I am not impressed with is the adding torch option to the back of the unit. I didn't have a need to use it, but when I tested it appeared to be fine in dark areas but I would definitely would not rely on it as the only source of light.

I was given the chance to test this new Crenova Digital Multimeter. I have used Crenova for a little over a year now, daily using the smaller version. The quality of these multimeters are great when factoring in their price points. Also the additional alligator clips and probes for no additional cost is fantastic.I have been using this all-in-one multimeter for a little over a week testing various functionalities. Overall, I have been quite pleased with the quality of the build and the range of testing modes. The fact you can get a decently accurate temperature probe multimeter for under $40 is great! I tried getting the multimeter to error out or blow an internal fuse a few times. Each time the multimeter just required a simple restart and gave accurate results. Again great value!Two things I was not impressed with was the NCV and the flashlight feature. I found the NCV very inaccurate sometimes claiming there was a live wire present when there is in fact no wire or power in that wall. On the other hand, every time there was a live wire it accurately represented that result which is at least a good safety factor. The flash light on the back was disappointingly dim. When compared to the screen's light up feature it was very comparable which is sad to see with so many other things done right.All in all, this is a great multimeter that will serve any DIY's or hobbyist purpose! I am excited to continue to put this to the test in some future home repairs I have planned. This product was given to me for this review. Opinions and thoughts are that of my own with no biasness.

I am not very electronics savvy but even I outgrew my Harbor Freight *FREE WITH PURCHASE* multimeter. This unit is nicely manufactured, comes in a great carry case and the large screen is easy to read.I found this meter searching by average customer review and, after comparing it to other meters on Amazon, I could not find any reason not to buy it so I did. The already very high rating also played a big part in my final decision to buy. The auto-ranging feature is wonderful and when using its built-in stand it is at the perfect angle to clearly read the values. Running on AA batteries is great and the included accessories are a big plus too. It has a bit of weight to it so it stays put when using the probes which I really appreciate. Overall this is an awesome meter.I am 100% pleased with my purchase and can highly recommend it.

This multimeter is easy to use and versatile. The display is easy to read, with large, dark numerals. The main set of leads is very flexible, and they look and feel better than most provided by other products in this price range. The additional set of alligator-clip leads, temperature probes, and the hard case are nice extras.Another nice feature: the multimeter is powered by two AA batteries, rather than a 9-volt battery or AAA batteries, and it works on NiMH rechargeable batteries. No need to worry about leaking alkaline batteries. The multimeter appears to be giving me voltage readings very close to those I get from a meter accurate to 0.1 percent - so it is well within spec in accuracy. Overall, this is a great value.

I'm a DIY'er who does home and auto repairs. My last home-use multimeter was fried due to my misuse so needed a replacement. Looked around at this price point and decided on this unit due to the extra features at a price lower than similar units. The LED light is a good addition should you be working in the dark in the basement/attic on fuses, or a night emergency etc. I've yet to try the temperature function.I like the NCV detector as its one less piece of equipment I need to load in my tool bag. This function alone sets it above other multimeters. Always double or triple check those lines when working with electricity!Unit is well built and feels like it can takes the bumps and drops, display is huge so theres no mistaking readings.The carry is nice and study, cables lock into the back of unit, batteries included. What more do you need!?Very Happy with purchase.
