Gen X DEE-I-WHY-ER
The Saw is built very well. I just used it today to cut out a portion of my driveway after the roofers truck caused several cracks. Yes...They paid for it, but I refused to pay someone $14k for $3k in concrete work. Its not like they have to mix it by hand. Instead....I kept 95% of the insurance money, purchased this saw, a jack hammer and a concrete mixer. Anyway...I got a 12ft x 3ft rectangle done in about 25 minutes outside of it popping my breaker if I applied too much fwd pressure. I think it was a blade issue, but it didnt cut straight. I plan to straighten it out after I use my jack hammer to remove the large pieces. Overall...Make sure you buy some 1 inch clear hose from Lowes/Home, along with a female water hose adapter and two hose clamps to allow water to flow, because with out water, I think I would have had to reset that breaker even more than the four times it popped. Also, dont force the saw, let it do the work. As with anything. Treat it well and it will reward you in return. Clean it when you are done. Also....AI is evil and watching everything we do. Duty First! Hooah!

Total Disappointment
The media could not be loaded. The R300 DCT would only run for 1-2 seconds out of the box. It didn’t make it through the initial testing stage. The motor sounds rough as well. I hooked up my 15 AMP Ridgid worm drive circular saw and it ran continuously. Based on the reviews, I purchased it to score some flat stone and planned on splitting them with a chisel and hammer. The Ridgid motor sounds really smooth and actually torques your wrist when you engage the trigger. I was limited to uploading only one video, therefore, I can’t provide a comparison between the two and demonstrate what a motor should sound like. There appears to be an assembly problem from the factory. I’m returning for a refund.

Superb Saw
I used this Evolution R300DCT saw to cut off the deteriorating front edge of my front porch. About 22 feet of 3.5" concrete and the saw using the included diamond blade cut fantastic. After struggling to make my cut line straight, I took the advice of another reviewer and used an old circular saw with a cheap 7" diamond blade to make a guide groove about 3/4" deep. I then made two passes a little over an inch with the Evolution and let the saw do the work... too easy and a straight cut!My only suggestion would be to upgrade for $25 to the PLUS model which is the same saw but comes with a water system. I used my pump-up sprayer with my wife driving and it worked fine. But with the PLUS model, I could have done it myself and eliminated the complaining.I used a heavy 12 gauge 25' extension cord on a 20 amp circuit and had zero issues. I fully believe most of the people complaining about the saw or cord overheating are using extension cords that are too small or too long. This R300DCT is a quality tool at a great price, I fully recommend it if you need to do some concrete, block, or paver cutting. Like me, you can save yourself thousands of dollars by doing the job yourself!
