I was so pleased with the low dust, that seems to bother the cats and myself. There are some crystal I find after their use, but nothing like the clay litters. I highly recommend this if you suffer from allergies, and looking for low to no dust….I do change the litter about once a week.

Love this stuff. I have 5 cats and tons of litter boxes. It is easy to keep up and my cats do not track it everywhere. There is a bit around the boxes.

Good for knowing if your cat has issues but didn't clump at all. I will purchase every once in a while to check cats urine for health issues but not regularly due to it doesn't clump for cleaning purposes

We have been using this product for about a year now, and at first our cats liked it. But now they are avoiding using the litter box that this cat litter is in. Thankfully, we have a 2nd box with a different brand of litter, so they are using that. I took off stars, though, because I feel that this litter is messier than the traditional clay litter, and for us it has not absorbed anymore odor than traditional. It does clump pretty well, but the cats track/kick more out of the box than the clay litter. It could just be a preference of our cats', but this is not the litter for us.

I like this much better than pretty litter! Clumps better and absorbs odor much better!

*** UPDATE*** since my initial review.This liter DID in fact make my super healthy 2 year old cat sick as a dog!! It took me a few days to figure out why my cat got so violently sick out of no where; throwing up violently, wheezing and coughing. My cat is an exclusively indoor cat and rarely ever throws up. Suddenly it was the sickest I’ve ever seen a cat. But it wasn’t computing in my mind that it could be from the liter. After reviewing anything and everything in my household I started wondering about the liter. The day I threw it all away and replaced it with traditional liter, he started to recover and stopped throwing up! It was crazy! I felt awful! I reached out to the company for a refund but they never responded.For the health of your cat, DO NOT GET THIS LITTER.———————-Highly trackable just less noticeable since it’s clear/white.Super dusty and gets in the air and I believe it’s making 1 of my cats sick. My cat has been throwing up like crazy since I started using this liter 24 hours ago so I’m thinking it’s breathing it in and making him sick or upsetting his stomach. I’ve analyzed everything else in the house and there are no changes else where (same food, same water, same life, no plants, no hair balls, no outside time, very healthy and young cat). So I’m highly suspicious of this liter after calling the vet. Too soon to tell but it’s very coincidental timing.Absorbs pee well but has never indicated a color other than yellow (“normal”) even though 1 cat is definitely sick now.Does nothing to hide poop smell whatsoever so I have to scoop after every poop. It’s nasty.I hate being negative but I was really hoping this would be good and it’s just not other than the color is better than gray litter.However after more monitoring of my now sick cat and more investigation I will update if it’s determined the litter made my cat so sick. This does exactly what the other ones do. Just a lower price. Best of ALL worlds!

The idea is a great idea but feasibility and functionality, I'm not so sure. First thing, this is a one cat litter box type of item and is not meant to postpone or delay medical treatment. I use this to monitor my male cat with a history of urinary infections that are difficult for me to detect until he becomes lethargic. I did use for my female cat that was already in kidney failure to see how well this works as well. That said, I had to separate the cats to have an idea of the color indications - obviously looking out for red for my female cat that I expected blue crystals from. Oddly it took a bit of time to turn blue and stayed an orange like color for more than a few minutes so for some time I couldn't tell if it really was blue or that I left it too long. Luckily never any red. But I find if using it for the color detection component, it requires a lot more maintenance than I'm ised to with an automatic litter box that I had to switch to manual stir & scoop.The second thing is this is gritty, tiny crystals and will track every where the cats roam and even get lodged in the crevices of furniture. It is much more difficult to manage. And this material is not at all compatible with my automatic litter box that requires clumping to filter out.I wouldn't say the smell was much of a problem but that may be because of the frequency I had to change this to have good tabs on the color readings. Ultimately I went back to the Arm & Hammer litter we are familiar with just because my cats are used to it, works in my automatic litter box, doesn't track all over in the same regard...I felt a lot of reasons to abandon this litter than to keep using, including the cost.
