Doesn’t float
I’m a big fan of Chuckit ultra balls which are durable, very bouncy and float, so I had high hopes for this stick. It does appear to be made of the same stuff as the balls, but disappointingly does not float and on the first outing I ended up having to fish it out from the bottom of a pond. It’s now only a matter of time before the dog drops it in the reservoir or river and that’ll be that. I’ve just re read the description which quite clearly says that it does float so maybe mine is faulty, but I won’t be risking another.

Sank on first use
I purchased this as the title states "land and water".Unless your dog is an excellent free diver, do not throw this in any water deeper than your arm.

Very resilient: review after a few months!
Love this. Nice weight to it for throwing and has some good bend (it can get to 90 degrees) for reducing risk to the dog. Many dogs have been playing with mine and chewing it (big and small dogs) with no damage at all. My cocker spaniel hasn’t damaged it in longer chewing sessions (there’s chew marks but nothing removed) but I wouldn’t want to say a larger dog wouldn’t damage it.Really worth it!

Good for chewers
We've had this a couple of weeks now, and so far the chewer has not managed to do it any obvious damage. It's soft and light enough to throw inside the house, and also robust enough to take outdoors. Obviously much safer than a real stick (having read those horror stories of sticks going through a dog's mouth, face or throat). We had had a good experience with the Chuckit balls, and this is equally worth buying.

Fetch and destroy in just over a month
Absolutely useless and destroyed in a little over a month by small/medium labradoodle.Very disappointing as the balls are brilliant.
