UPDATE: 01-02-25: Replacement unit was put to the test 3x over. Started a nearly completely dead, subfreezing 6.2L without hesitation, twice in the same day. Also jumped my 6.5 Turbo Diesel twin battery without a hiccup (still on a single charge). My Toyota 3.0L V6's battery decided it wanted to fail too and was only holding a few volts, but the AVAPOW 6000 didn't even blink, provided full power and it cranked over almost immediately after hook-up. I'd feel comfortable recommending this to anyone with a potential need to jump larger diesels and gassers, and pretty much anything 10L and lower. this is for 12V applications, not 24V, so keep that in mind when purchasing. It's been working like a champ and still cranking our vehicles over, even on single-digit Fahrenheit freezing days. If you have electrical issues beyond alternator/battery, use caution to avoid further damaging your vehicle/electricals.UPDATE: 12-19-24: AVAPOW's customer service reached out to me several times and has been outstanding. The replacement units have been working exactly as advertised and AVAPOW has been very supportive and accommodating. It appears that my first unit may very well have just been defective, which happens with any mass-produced item. The subsequent jump starters (A68-6000A models) have both worked well and without issue. I was also offered an extended warranty from AVAPOW as a sign of good faith and customer support commitment. At this point, I feel inclined to recommend the AVAPOW A68/6000A jump starter and power supply. Read the manufacturer's directions, and test the unit and charge it for a minimum of 6 hours/until fully charged upon receipt then put it through it's paces (in accordance with the manufacturer directions, because these do have a "duty cycle" of use/cool-down periods for repeated starting attempts. Duly earned 4 stars for excellent customer service and fully operational replacement units.UPDATE: 12-2-2024: AVAPOW's customer service has been great. I really wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and try a second unit. By comparison to the first unit I bought, the 2nd unit has worked fine. Took a charge without issue from a Samsung USB-C quick charger, and handled starting a pretty low (9 VDC approx.) single battery 6.2L V8 on a cold night (sub-freezing). The second AVAPOW 6000 is currently working as advertised and no issues so far. We'll see how it does in it's next real-world scenario, but so far, so good. Gained a star for customer service and reliable replacement unit. If the next real-world test goes well (and it works), It'll have earned a 4th star. Boost function works, please note that this unit does have limitations and recommended usage guidance, so be sure to read the manual.

We purchased the AVAPOW 6000A Jump Starter on January 15, 2024, when our son's car wouldn't start. We have battery cables that are very long, but they would not reach his car where it was parked. Pushing the car out of its location was not going to work. Not wanting to call in a tow service, I researched battery jump starters and settled on the AVAPOW 6000A because of its favorable reviews.The AVAPOW 6000A did not disappoint.I placed the order on a Monday morning and received AVA the next morning before 8:00 am. Upon arrival the AVA was very cold, so I let it warm up for a couple of hours and then plugged it in to charge it up. It may not have needed a "fresh" charge (all four lights indicated the AVA was up to full power), but I plugged it in, "just to be sure."When our son was home from work, I took AVA to him for its initial performance. We opened the hood to his car, clipped on the power clamps, and "hit" the key to start the car. The car started just like there was a brand-new battery installed. It took us longer to open the hood on the car than it did to start it.Not knowing what to expect, my son and I were very impressed with the AVAPOW 6000A. It did what it was designed to do.I put the AVA back into its case and stuck it in a "tools" box in the back of my car waiting for the next time it was needed. That came about two weeks later when we went to a friend's house and his neighbor approached us asking if we had jumper cables.I told him we didn't have cables, but we could give the AVAPOW 6000A a shot.He had a car and a pickup truck that wouldn't start after sitting idle since the fall of 2023. He was in Florida for the winter and both vehicles were not driven or started. He did have battery chargers on the truck and car, but they failed him.His car was a special edition modified 1969 Camaro he had purchased from someone in Southern California, and we are in Northeastern Indiana. Whoever made the modifications decided to put a cross-member support from the fender wall to the front of the car. This took away the room needed for access to the battery terminals. The pickup was a fully loaded Ford 150.We hooked the AVAPOW up to the truck and it started up with the turn of the key. As for the Camaro the neighbor needed time to remove the cross-member and wasn’t ready to do that when we were there. Eventually he replaced both batteries.I have not needed to use the AVAPOW 6000A since last January.
