GOCONTROL GB00Z-2 Wave Glass Break Detector (White)

Zwave products are expensive in general still. Hopefully this will improve. Installing and adding to the Zwave controller was easy and worked on first attempt.

It successfully paired to the smart home systems I tried (SmartThings, Vera, Iris, Symbio), but it doesn't do anything when glass actually breaks.I've tested this on purpose, breaking window panes with the unit sitting inches away, but no alarm at all. Pretty much a useless hunk of plastic. Maybe I can use the batteries in something else that actually works.

I have six of these now. I know they work because we have dropped things and they went off. This one that I received came with the device only in the box, missing the batteries and hardware. Appears to have been used before. I reset Z-Wave and paired it with no problems.

Shows up inactive on Samsung snartthings, and won't tie into alarm. I install security for a living and the 433mhz version of this works great, but It's hard to trigger the leave version, weird.

Easy to install, thankfully haven't had anyone try to break it to try it out. :*)

False alarms most nights. Not sure what is triggering it. I'm not willing to actually break some glass so I don't know if it will alarm on a real event or not.
