Worx String Trimmer Cordless GT3.0 20V PowerShare 12" Edger & Weed Trimmer (2 Batteries & Charger Included) WG163

Spent the last two years complaining about my Greenworks string trimmer and how the auto line-feed never auto-fed..... EVER. Greenworks customer service... wasn't. But I had two other Greenworks tools running the same batteries. Thought about another Greenworks trimmer . But Einstein was right....I found this WORX string trimmer on Amazon but was hesitant to add ANOTHER charger and ANOTHER battery to the mix. But it turns out it runs the same 20V batteries as my WORX mini vacuum and WORX power drill. PLUS.... the string trimmer works PERFECTLY. WIN-WIN!!Design people could have had a little better "hinge" feature. There is no unlock - move- lock" feature to the rotating head. You just hold the head in place and move the handle up and down. The "wratchet" sound as you move the head say the gears will wear out quickly. Plus... nowhere in the manual does it tell you to REMOVE the little black screw on the underside. I figured it out.... and these complaints are minor!That said... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this trimmer. Both the cutting and edging features worked flawlessly right out of the box. The telescoping arm feature allows for tight spaces and people of all heights. The battery is the size and weight of a bar of soap. I spent the better part of hour trimming raised beds, driveways and patio edges on my 8500 sf lot. I should have bought this a year ago!My only real "complaint" is the line feed button is a bit awkward to use . My thumb and index finger were already being used. I need another index finger :>} But that complaint really is minor. This trimmer is PERFECT for the normal bevy of residential weeds, vines and grasses.

The charger sent with this combo does not work, it does not charge the battery the green light will keep flashing and the battery does not receive a charge at all. The Worx charger WA3742 is no longer available on Worx web site. If you call customer service you cannot get through to them. After many ties I realized they are not going to help in this matter regarding this defective battery and the company is not to be trusted to back up their warranty with this battery charger on their website is $29.99, but out of stock. After writing this .... Worx called and they are sending a new charger. I am please that this was resolved.

After I got it together it was ok but don’t think it will be strong enough for what I want and there’s not a bigger cord for this one. Will return this one for the next size up. I had some issues with the way it was cutting,could not cut small weeds very well. I have let it get out of hand a little because of health issues. Also could not get the line to feed out

I can see why this has 41/2 stars for 31,000 customers! I am so excited. The length is adjustable, the head pivots, it has wheels for when I want to turn it sideways to edge the driveway. I have a huge yard so it did take me both batteries to do everything, but I don’t care, my arms did not feel like they were gonna fall off from the weight. This is like 5 lbs!! still new to me so I hope that I don’t have any problems with it in the future. The weed eater that I bought prior to this was horrible, horrible horrible! It was too heavy to carry because of the huge battery, and the shaft was not adjustable. This one is everything I was hoping for in an electric Weed-eater/edger!!

While not as powerful as an electric weed eater, this cordless weed whacker did a decent job on the overgrown, weedy (some very tough) parkway. furthermore, I did it all with only one battery and in about 15 min. However, that did not include edging which I haven’t done it but I have no reason to believe it won’t be easy. The one thing that is a little tricky is the line-feed which is not automatic. There is a button to press and it takes a minute to get used to how often one needs to do press it since you can’t really see the line. I am no expert weed whacker!

I've been through way too many string trimmers before I found this one!This trimmer is very light and runs quite a while with it's battery pack, certainly enough for my 3000 sq-ft lawns. The string payout system is outstanding; Far easier than other trimmers. It's also quick to change orientation for edging or weed-whacking. Once in a while I'll get a bind on the string spool but it's rare and only takes 10 seconds to fix without tools: This is also much better than the other trimmers I've used.Trimmer line can be found fairly cheap (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FT3GXFF?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title).The blower is also a gem. It's also light weight and uses the same battery pack as the trimmer. The set comes with 2 battery packs and a charger.I urge you to toss your existing trimmer and invest in this one!
