The book is insightful. It gave me understanding of what to expect as a Father and tips on how to support my wife during her pregnancy.

Probably one of the worst books you could read when expecting
Bought the book right at the peak of my new baby excitement and it came crashing down within an hour of reading. I picked this up expecting insightful tips on how to deal with certain things, how you support your partner and what’s happening with your baby. There’s a light touch of this sprinkled upon layers of anxiety inducing statistics that do well to make it look like having a healthy baby is near impossible. There’s nothing in the book that’s truly unique or different to anything you will find online or in other books - it’s just a dude that found a gap in the market to write a book directed and dads and we all fell for it. The straw that broke the camels back for me was the section dedicated to dealing with your wife now she’s gotten bigger… there is a hint of misogyny throughout which the author lets slip from time to time

Way too American
Bollocks. I had to skip through pages about way too many pages to get some useful information among all the stories about American healthcare, GI fathers, marines, American product prices and other stuff related only to the states. Like mate, there are more countries in the world
