Totally a BIG HIT~!!!!Great toy....we dug up the yard and he slept with it for 3 nights.....you have a winner here!!!!!

Our grandson, who just turned 4, is a real truck enthusiast. He knows all the names and what they do, so I knew this would be a toy he would enjoy. The tough part was picking out the right one. This truck is a little pricey, but is well made and looks like it will stand the test of time. I read other reviews carefully before purchasing, and realized that many toy trucks are not that well made. People complained of them breaking in very short periods of time, but the Bruder brand really seems to take quality seriously. I plan on buying him a couple of more for Christmas, and I will definitely buy this brand again. It is worth a little extra money to get a toy that will last. It is also very realistic...he told me that this one "inspired" him!! It is also a good size for him to handle. He has large Tonka steel trucks for outside play, but this is perfect for indoors. All in all, a good pick!

A lot of the toys you buy now are plastic and snap easily. So far, we have loved the excavator and it’s holding up well with my rough toddler boys. Do keep in mind the side mirror pops off and on. If you have little ones who put things in their mouth, I’d pop it off and keep it off

This is the best toy excavator ever! BUY THIS TOY!!!! My son destroys every toy he receives. We have had this toy for little over a month and he has not managed to do any damage. He plays with it constantly and it is still in tact. This toy comes with a little driver and my son has ripped off the legs at least once a day since he received it and they just snap right back in. This toy is destruction proof!!! It is the toy to buy. We will only be buying Bruder from now on when it comes to construction toys. It is absolutely worth the cost.

This is a beautiful toy, but I would NOT recommend it for a kid that wants to do any sort of rugged play with it. We got it for our two and a half year old as a reward for getting out of diapers. The side mirror had a little plastic tie around it, and literally fell off when we took it out of the packaging, remaining attached to the toy only with the plastic tie. The bucket fell off within an hour of playing with it. We were able to reattach it, but i don't have hopes for how long the toy will last, sadly.All in all, I would recommend it for an older kid, but not for a young kid or for a kid that wants to do any real dirt work.

Got these for my toddler who is 3years old and crazy about construction vehicles---excavator in particular. He had a basic one that he was able to take apart and put it back together (another great toy) but now he wanted something that had hydraulics and suspensions like the real one (His Dad taught him all about that so....). THis is perfect. He loves it and his Dad loves it too. They spend a lot of time playing with it :)Its been 2 months and its held up in toddler hands so I would say it is durable....let see how long it lasts !!!

My 2 year old is obsessed with construction equipment and this excavator is now a favorite in the collection. It’s well built and withstands the rough and tough play of a 2 year old boy

So far I have to say it's a great toy. It's holding up to my 4 year old who is known for being a demolisher of all his toy trucks and construction equipment.My main concern was the scoop of the excavator and the arm, he has managed to take the scoop off once so far since christmas but to my surprise it wasn't broke, just snapped eight back into place. It seems like it's well designed to withstand a beating so we shall see as time passes. 😋
