These days when you buy a mass-manufactured product you expect that pretty much every one of them is going to be effectively identical. That didn't used to be the case and a lot of it came down to consistent testing and validation. The company manufacturing these really skimped on that part. I've had 4 of these now and they all behave differently.1. Obnoxious beep tone, switch is finicky, but it functions correctly.2. Pleasant beep tone, switch is okay, beeps twice every 5 to 20 minutes while on even when not timing.3. Average beep tone, switch is okay, timer will not restart on the same time twice in a row (e.g., 10 minute timer goes off, tip it right side up to turn off; later, tip back to 10 minutes and it will beep but not start the timer)4. Obnoxious beep, switch is extremely finicky, turns off at random during timing.If you get one and it works without issues then it's fine. It does what it says. But don't do like I did and expect to buy 4 to put in different areas of the house and expect them all to behave like they should. I'll be returning a few that don't work reliably enough and trying another brand instead.

This is an easy to use and fun timer. It has 1, 3, 5, and 10 minute settings on it. It is great for trying to focus on a task if you want to clean or read for 10 minutes. For kids, you can use it to help them gradually increase the amount of time that they attend to a task or chore before being rewarded. Have them to write for 5 minutes without stopping the first week and increase it to 10 minutes the following week, etc.I like that it has two different volume settings. I also love that it self powers off. Overall, it can be a useful tool.

We play a board game where certain activities have a one-minute time limit. In the past, we've used an egg timer or someone used their watch or a smartphone app. All worked but all seemed a little clumsy.This cube timer works great. It is fun and the cube shape fits in with the idea of games. You just have to pick it up and set it down and the timer starts. The red light flashes partway through to let you know you are running out of time. It just really fits in with gameplay.The beep is not that loud. If you were timing something and in the next room, you would likely not hear the beep. But it is fine if you are in fairly close proximity to the timer.I saw one other review where they suggested a two-minute timer would be nice. On rare occasions, we have an event with a two-minute time limit. We just do the one-minute timer twice. But it would be really nice if they made a 1-2-3-5 minute timer cube.

All i disliked about this was that it didnt come with 2 tripple a batteries. You would think it would but it doesnt.
